This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Find me
I'm falling
And fooling myself that it's flight
Imperfect
I plummet
And ponder
Pushed away on principle
Walk away and I stare
Would you stand me up again?
Wonder if I've said too much
And we'll never speak again
Forfeit
My future
For feelings of few far betweens
Mindless
Of merciful
Measures
Making ends preempt the means
And I searched your eyes for an answer
And shuddered at what I found there
As my skin shrunk away from conclusion
That you lack the strength to care
Walk away and I stare
Would you stand me up again?
Wonder if I've said too much
And we'll never speak again
This is the way it has to be
That you would turn your back on me
And you and I should walk away
Walk away and I stare
Would you stand me up again?
Wonder if I've said too much
And we'll never speak again
I'm falling
And fooling myself that it's flight
Imperfect
I plummet
And ponder
Pushed away on principle
Walk away and I stare
Would you stand me up again?
Wonder if I've said too much
And we'll never speak again
Forfeit
My future
For feelings of few far betweens
Mindless
Of merciful
Measures
Making ends preempt the means
And I searched your eyes for an answer
And shuddered at what I found there
As my skin shrunk away from conclusion
That you lack the strength to care
Walk away and I stare
Would you stand me up again?
Wonder if I've said too much
And we'll never speak again
This is the way it has to be
That you would turn your back on me
And you and I should walk away
Walk away and I stare
Would you stand me up again?
Wonder if I've said too much
And we'll never speak again

Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
Sounds like he got in a fight with his girl and he wonders if it caused the relationship to be over completely. He doesn't know if he's "said too much" to her-- causing her to hate him forever...
that's what I see in it neway.
Actually I think it has to do with a relationship, but i just wanted to say that it is the best song I ever heard. I got this demo in the mail for this song and it is awsome, i've never heard of them be4 but you can bet I will be preaching about them, everyone should hear this song
The feeling is mutal, this song kicks ass. But what does this song mean? I've been interpretting it for some time now that it was about a girl that was so low that he almost had pity for her. She had hurt him so bad in the past, and he despises her now. The first verse could be how he considered making amends, or perhaps sinking down to her level of lowliness. He got hurt when he tried to make amends --> "I searched your eyes for an answer And shuddered at what I found there As my skin shrunk away from conclusion That you lack the strength to care" She was so vile that it hurt him even more. So, he is left wondering if he should just stop trying to make the situation better, and he wonders if they'll ever speak again.
That's probably a very abstract perversion of the song... Sorry if you completely disagree.
def. have to agree w/ nirvanaxcobain and alwaysalone. this song is awesome. never could get sick of it!
What it means to me is that he cares about his girl. He tells her how he feels and gets a bad reaction from her. The reaction being that she doesn't love him. And he realizes this. But even though he is hurting he knows that walking away is the best thing for him to do since he knows down deep that she is going to walk away from him. So to save face, he decides to walk away as well.
I love this song. I heard it and then i found the lyrics and went, oh my gosh, i just went through this. specially the "wonder if i said too much/and we'll never speak again" part....its a good song.
When did these guys start getting into the music scene? I just heard of them today, and they're AWESOME... I wanna know how long I haven't known about them, LOL.
this song is great. the music and words are powerful and the message gets to you the first time you hear it. but its got a great sound that makes you come back for more. this is great stuff.
Walk away has a simple meaning for such an awesome song, its about the fear of being misunderstood
