If you could step into my head
Tell me, would you still know me?
If you woke up in my bed
Tell me would you hold me?
Or would you simply let it lie
Leaving me to wonder why?
I can't get you out of this head
I call mine and I will say

I don't want to let you go
My little girl
Because you're holding up my world
So I need you
Your imitation of my walk
And the perfect way you talk
It's just a couple of the million things
That I love about you
So I need you
So I need you
So I need you
So I need you

And if I jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge
Tell me would you still follow me?
And if I made you mad today
Tell me would you love me tomorrow? Please
Or would you say that you don't care
And then leave me standing here
Like the fool who is drowning in despair
And screaming

I don't want to let you go
My little girl
Because you're holding up my world
So I need you
Your imitation of my walk
And the perfect way you talk
It's just a couple of the million things
That I love about you
So I need you
So I need you
So I need you
So I need you

I'm on my own
I'm on my own
I'm on my own

Oh-Ohh Can't let you go
My little girl
Because you're holding up my world
So I need you
Your imitation of my walk
And the perfect way you talk
It's just a couple of the million things
That I love about you
So I need you
So I need you
So I need you
So I need you
Baby, Yeah

i think theres a hint of not realasionship in the sexual way but of father/daughter. his little girl is growing up and he feels he's losing her, shes not the little girl she used to be, she is her self now.

This is probably my favorite 3DD song. Its such a sweet song about a guy who is very much in love with the girl in his life. It kind of sounds like they are having problems but he's telling her that he loves her anyway.

Sounds like he is talking about someone he loves, but they don't necessarily want him right now, they may love him, but they are not ready to settle for him, and they find it strange that he needs her

i think this song is a bit of what everyone else wrote.a guy who is head over heels in love with this girl but there haven problems.its like hes sayin if you steped into my head thought what i thought and see what i see would you still love me and know me like you do now or would things be differnet.and do you love me enoght to follow me whereevr my life might bring me.andpunkrocker 9000 good luck in your relationship and remember everything happens for a reason if you two were meant to be together then you will.

I think that he is with a girl and he has completely come out with his true self.. like there is something he is ashamed of.. or he is just ashamed of himself. He feels that if she knew everything... that she would leave him... its really not as sweet as what people think... I think he fell in love with this girl because of her image ... and she fell in love with him for him and he doesn't realize it yet... he thinks that he isn't good enough

i actually think that losingholbrook is right! Like everyone esle, i though that this was a love song (a fuc*king good one tho) but after reading the previous entry and looking back at the lyrics I can see it now. I always used to relate to this song - my favourite off the first album.

I think the song could go both ways...that being that the singer is either talking about his daughter or his girlfriend. In either case, he is saying that he is in love and can't let go. He's hoping that the girl doesn't turn him away or shut him out.

(Those lyrics have a number of mistakes in them, therefore i posted a new "So I Need You" that is being approved at the moment...to the contributioner) as for those who would like to see the REAL lyrics...

If you could step into my head, tell Me would you still know me If you woke up in my bed, Tell me then would you hold me Or would you simply let it lie, Leaving me to wonder why I can't get you out of this head I call mine And I will say Oh no I can't let you go, My little girl Because you're holding up my world, So I need you Your imitation of my walk And the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million things That I love about you So I need you So I need you So I need you So I need you And if I jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, Tell me would you still follow me And if I made you mad today, Tell me would you love me tomorrow? Please Or would you say that you don't care, And then leave me standing here Like the fool who is drowning in dispair And screamin' Oh no I can't let you go, My little girl Because you're holding up my world, So I need you Your imitation of my walk And the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million Things that I love about you So I need you So I need you So I need you So I need you I'm on my own I'm on my own I'm on my own Oh no I can't let you go, My little girl Because you're holding up my world, So I need you Your imitation of my walk And the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million things That I love about you So I need you So I need you So I need you So I need YOU!

why would this be about a relationship other than father and daughter? he clearly states that it's about his little girl...for those who can't see that...

Oh no I can't let you go,

My little girl<<< Because you're holding up my world, So I need you

you would think if it was about a sexual relationship that he'd find something better to call her than his "little girl" with that being said...

Your imitation of my walk<<< And the perfect way you talk It's just a couple of the million things That I love about you

again...clearly points out to me that it's his little girl, and her imitation of his walk, meaning she walks like him...

he's straight forwardly saying that he needs his little girl, that she's holding up his world, and when he says "And if I made you mad today, tell me would you love me tomorrow please" if he makes her mad...or makes mistakes...he wants to know if his little girl would still love him...you can say what you want, but if i had written a song like this i know i'd mean for it to be about my little girl...not a girlfriend (for two reasons) lol on that note...enjoy the "REAL" lyrics :)

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
