"You My Flower" as written by and Greg Dulli....
So what you make me hard
If I was harder now I would crack into a million things
Things I didn't really need
But how I wanted so

What a nice dream
Didn't want to wake up
So I kept it dark all the time
Dark enough so not to see
But not as dark as the plans that you have for me

So what you made me smile
I had smiled at lesser things before I ever thought of you
Before I thought my soul was mine
Now I think about me, only when I can find the time

Flowers all around
Put your lover in the ground
Flowers everywhere yeah yeah yeah
Nowhere you can be found
I have put you in the ground
Nowhere is everywhere
For you my flower

Better get myself a drink
Better get a couple so I can look you straight in the face
Tell you that I think of you
Almost as much as you think of you

Flowers all around
Put your lover in the ground
Flowers everywhere yeah yeah yeah
Nowhere you can be found
I have put you in the ground
Nowhere is everywhere
For you my flower

General Commentdamn, only two and now three comments about the most amazing AW song. it's definitely about obsession and how it tends to overwhelm.

one of my favorite concert going experiences was the Afghan Whigs opening for Teenage Fanclub at the Back Door on the SDSU campus back in either '02 or '03. they play this song and during the bridge, Greg breaks out this sultry version of the Divinyl's "I Touch Myself". damn i wish i had a recording of it.

General CommentSounds like an obsessed man with a lady who is considering killing her to convince himself she is forever his by putting her in the ground.

General CommentI think it's pretty clearly about how a player has all these girls that he doesn't need and he treats them all like flowers, but then just leaves them (i.e. putting the flower back in the ground where other flowers are). And also about how those girls have no respect for themselves so they let men who have no respect for them walk all over them.
