"Slaves" as written by and Greg Graffin....
Don't try to say that I threaten your freedom
We've done without for 20 years, so think if we really need 'em
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders

We're all slaves
We can blow up things better than in any country except this one.
Waiting for it too then you realize it ain't too much fun.
We're in a country, Democracy, supposed to be the best on the globe.

Living ? for the high class clones
And
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders

We're all slaves
And
We're all just slaves for the troop commanders
We're all slaves

General CommentBeing a slave to conformity is a bitch of a life. Society says the 'ideal' life is pursueing that goddamn American Dream. They say the way to be a good person and patriot is to comply to the system and shut your fucking mouth. That's a FUCKED UP life. We live in a time where sedition is patriotism. Where democracy makes more talk less action. I think that Greg is saying that society is bound in slavery to the lies of the system and they're not really living.

General Commentthis song is great, but the lyrics here are completely wrong. i'm pretty sure these are the correct lyrics:

    Congress runs your daily life
They brainwash you into thinking it's freedom
We've had a war every twenty years
They make you think we really need 'em.

And we're all just slaves under stricter masters
We're all slaves under stricter masters
    We're slaves.

You're brought up thinking it's bad to live in any country except this one
And when you grow into a man you realize it ain't too much fun
We're a country of democracy, we're supposed to be the best on the globe
Living's expensive, it ain't too fun unless you fall in the high-class mode
