a ring of haze encircles the unshrouded truth
within another seal is broken as the heavens prepare to break forth in fulfillment
a blanket of deception is layered on sacred writings
which contain the thoughts of the One who is Almighty
a sword unsheathed is drawn bringing legions of demons to their knees
by the knowledge of a covenant prepared before the earth itself
still so many choose to warm themselves beneath deception
as the end draws near and history closes
i pray the winds and the rain of that which is latter
will bring clarity and understanding of Your infallible Word
let the lack of knowledge be lifted off Your people

The lyrics written here are incorrect just to put it straight right off the bat. Its Almighty God, not just Almighty (i'm picky).

Anyways, every time i think of this song i think of the Chapter of Revelation. The first part makes me think of Revelation and the second part of this song seems much like a prayer. I find it a relaxing song. It really puts you into a mode of thinking. The song mainly speaks about people distorting the word of God at the beginning "a blanket of deception is layered on sacred writings, which contain the thoughts of the One who is Almighty God." And "A sword is drawn, unsheathed, to bring legions of demons to their knees." speaks to me about how the wicked and wrong who have done this will be punished as well as literally "demons", like i said, it speaks to me like it is almost speaking from the Chapter of Revelation.

there are few more mistakes like the last line should be ...And your name... text on the begining that describes the fight
...I remember the first war The way the skied burned etc..

Anyway it's one of the ZAO's best songs. Listening it makes me perfectly calm and relaxed, something like spiritual meditation while thinking on Heaven's legions and the Lucifer falling down...unbeliveable...perfect...

btw, when dan is screaming "rain" over and over again at the end, this is what jesse is screaming in your left ear (if you're wearing headphones): "For you're my God, We are set free from hell so that I will Rise, I will Rise Up, I will Rise Up. For your my God, you're my savior. I walk Beside you from hell, I'm home. I will rise I will rise up I will rise I will rise."

uh, Pain, you're thinking of Ravage Ritual... thanks outsyder101 for that correction, because that part of the song is important but is never recognized... this song is mostly about the End Times and about people being decieved as is told about in Revelation... this song is incredible... i love how, while Dan is still talking towards the end, Jesse begins to do repetetive drumrolls all the way down his kit... it's awesome!!! lyrically and musically, this song is chilling and deep and one of my Zao favourites...

This song is so awesome. It gives me chills literally when it gets to that soft quite guitar and builds up to a hard guitar. Sweet drum rhythems. Zao's longest "yelling" song. I love it!!!!!!

Well, it was Joel or jousha who prophecyied there would be "present rain, and a latter rain" of the spirit. Since we are in the last days, I'd say this is mostly about the Spirit still haveing prescence, maybe Dan is pentecostal.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
