turned away by a misrepresentation
stained glass and white washed tombs
the hearts of those who spoke to you
were never homes to the God they tried to show you
they spoke out of prejudice and ritualism
they themselves were lost angels
fold their wings and weep along with us
watching you shun Christ's sacrifice

General Commenti felt like i was actually going into a battle at the beginning of the song. i would close my eyes and see what he saw when he wrote that song.

General Comment"Angels weep along with us, watching you shun Christ's sacrifice"

This song speaks to me about people who have had a taste of Christianity, who have had a bitter experience for some reason. These people purposely do not wish to go back to Christ. I know people like this, i find it sad.

It says that be careful not to let a brother fall, this song speaks of this situation gone wrong.

General CommentWHen I first heard this song the only thing I felt was amazment. I listened to the way he described this and felt only remorse for what happens. The battle just went on, he kept fighting as he saw this happen.

General Commentwell, this speaks more of hypocrites and fake Christians giving real Christians a bad name... the 'misrepresentation' is how the people misrepresent Christ... the 'stained glass and white-washed tombs' are part of the false image of Christianity people have been given... "the hearts of those...to show you" is talking about how people call themselves Christians but Christ isn't truly in their heart... "they spoke...were lost" talks about how they were only telling the people (that this song is written for) about Jesus not because they really cared, but because they were prejudice and that the empty ritual that their faith has become is not true... and the last two lines talk about how the true Christians along with angels in heaven cry because the people are shunning Christ because a few hypocrites gave Christianity a bad name... the part at the begining says:
"I remember the first war, the way the sky burned
    The faces of angels destroyed
I saw a third of Heaven's legion banished
And the creation fell/of Hell (?)
I stood with my brothers and watched and listened to the revolt
But now, my brothers aren't my brothers"

General CommentThe song is by far the most touching Zao song ever written, this past week...i decided i am done being the hypocrite, i am going to live a true christian life, i want to live for God now...and i hope that anyone that reads this will take thought of what i have said....this may not be a clear message i just said, but i just want to recommend everyone starts praying and reading the bible....

    General Commentintro correction:
"i remember the first war, the way the sky burned.
    the faces of angels destroyed.
i saw a third of heaven's legion banished
    and the creation of hell.
i stood with my brothers and watched lucifer fall.
but now my brothers are no longer my brothers."
it's taken from the movie Prophecy staring Christopher Walken.
