This is a time for us to demonstrate our appreciation
Amazing grace and sweet salvation
I can't pay You back, My Lord, so I won't even try
I will give You I and I
You know when I'm standin' up and when I'm falling down
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
You know if I'm hungry, tired, or feeling kind of low
Why you care, I just don't know.

I cast all my life and all my cares
And everything on You
He cares for you like no one else

This is a time for us to celebrate our emancipation
Voices ring across the nations
There will never be another there has never been
Helpess and You took us in
Because of Jesus Christ, we know salvation is secure
I don't worry anymore
Who can give You council, Lord?
And who can search Your mind?
You're before me and behind.

Every time I shed a tear it matters, it matters,
Every time I'm cold with fear it matters, it matters
When I got a broken heart it matters, it matters
Every time I fall apart it matters, it matters
When I think I'm all alone
On the road or when at home
Every time I have to sneeze
Every single breath I breathe
When I'm in a dentist's chair it matters, it matters
Anywhere and every where it matters, it matters

He cares for you like no one else

Great song where the lead singer duos with another member describing God and using some "Amazing Grace" lyrics.

you want a good Christian ska band, listen to Five Iron Frenzy. More variance from the supertones' uniform "God is good" lyrics, and much better musical energy for my tastes... fiveironfrenzy.com ... if you like the supertones, you'll love these guys (and girl)...

i LOVE the bridge where its like "every time i shed a tear, in the dentist chair, have a broken heart have to sneeze" its ridiculous. because its shockingly true. we dont really grasp the gravity of his love and care.

On the radio, all I could understand was the phrase "He cares for you like no one else" which initially made me think about a boy who loves a girl more than any other guy but she does not see it.

And then I looked up the lyrics and went "Ah, He = God. Well that changes the meaning a little bit"

lol. good song. but it still makes me think about a girl. but then everything does.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
