"My Own Way" as written by Roger Andrew Taylor, John Taylor, Andy Taylor, Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes....
I saw you at the air race yesterday
April showers get out of my way
Fear of flying, no not me

I'm never bothered, what you say
Someone's kid just lives for today
It ain't your problem anyway

'Cause I've got my own way
I can find my own way
'Cause I've got my own way

'Cause I've got my own way
I can find my own way
'Cause I've got my own way

Number one
Public figure, what a pain
Just puts another rattle in your brain
Take another green but it's not the same

Now you're on the Sandlane everyday
Dancing with the bulls in any old way
Running like a fox to keep up with me

'Cause I've got my own way
I can find my own way
'Cause I've got my own way

'Cause I've got my own way
I can find my own way
'Cause I've got my own way

I'm on Forty-fifth between Sixth and Broadway
Seven UP between Sixth and Broadway

'Cause I've got my own way
I can find my own way
'Cause I've got my own way

'Cause I've got my own way
I can find my own way
'Cause I've got my own way

Just how I like it

General Commentthe unintelligible stuff, as you call it, is a reference to a real nightclub at that address. It is now defunct

General CommentI love this song, the unintelligible stuff in the end. But I hear it's the only song Duran Duran regrets writing.

General CommentYes, the lines at the end are directions to a Nightclub in USA which they visited. As for the song its's great basically wanting people to see things from your point of view and wanting your own way.

General CommentThis is one of my favorites - its basically been my theme song for a long time. I dont see why DD would regret writing this one so I doubt that information. I could see them regretting that song in its first incarnation (with the lofty string music), the Rio version as well as the Kerschenbaum remix are so much better! I have been struggling with this line: Dancing with the bulls in any old way...anyone know?

General CommentI did happen to find some lyrics to it and listened to it and tried to compare them the only one I would agree with is when Simon says "Gonna put a red streak around this town".

General CommentI think 7up is Simon bragging about his penis being 7 inches long when erect.

The 6th and Broadway is the distance between the woman's legs.

The "45th" is the number of his sexual conquests.
