"Some Kinda Hate" as written by and Glenn Danzig....
There's some kinda love
And there's some kinda hate
The maggots in the eye of love
Won't copulate

And it's a whoah oh oh oh oh
And it's a whoah oh oh oh oh
And it's a whoah oh oh oh oh
I said whoah whaoh oh, oh oh oh

Hear the cats cry
Liitle tortured babies in pain
Cracked necks by sttled limbs
They don't hesitate

And it's a whoah oh oh oh oh
Baby whoah oh oh oh oh
And it's a whoah oh oh oh oh
I said whoah, whoah, oh

There's some kinda love
And there is some kinda hate
I'm gonna tell you all about it now
The maggots in the eye of love won't copulate

And it's a whoah oh oh oh oh
Baby whoah oh oh oh oh
Baby whoah oh oh oh oh
I said whoah whoah oh, whoah oh

General CommentI love this song; it's happy enough you can play it when you're hyper, angsty enough you can play it when you're annoyed.
It took me a while to figure out what the lyrics are... I'm not reading too deep into them, it's a good song so I'll leave it at that.

General CommentProbably my favorite original Misfits song... the beginning lyrics "There's some kinda love..." try to make you think it's another sappy love song, until they go into gorey graphic details that made the Misfits so great. You gotta love the etremely short guitar solo, too.

General CommentThe riff is a "punkier" version of the "Teenage kicks"-riff by The Undertones.
    Really good "cover"

General Commentthe correct lyric is "the maggots in the iron lung won't copulate," that's what he says and that's what all the lyrics online used to be about 6 years ago. i don't know why they all say "eye of love" now. but if you listen closely you can hear he says "iron lung" which is a much greater image in my opinion.

General Commenthmm, wasnt the bride of frankenstein scared of frankenstein? Could this be about the bride of frankenstein, "the maggots in the irn lung wnt coppulate?" as in, frankenstein loves her, but she hates him, and they wont fuck?

General Comment@ suburban - I think actually it's closer to a "punkier" version of Some Kinda Love by the Velvet Underground [the Valentin mix, not the closet mix]. the drum beat is almost identical, just faster.
the guitar riff does sound more like it's from Teenage Kicks though which was released in 1978. and the VU album was released in 1969.
The Misfits album Static Age where this song appears was recorded originally in 1978.
I just think it's highly unlikely that they would be able to put out an album with a song resembling the Undertones the very same year.
