Go
It's a missile girl
In a missile world

Human tongue feels aluminum-plate
It's a missile boy
Oh oh oh oh oh
Death machine and man in love
Oh oh oh oh oh
Tracking system checks out pulse, all systems go
Go go go go go
Rocket-blast fury with a manual sex-drive
Go go go go go

It's a missile girl
With a long white face
A missile girl, well

Nike is her name
You remember it
Oh oh oh oh oh
Deadlier than any girl on any world
Oh oh oh oh oh
Nike be good
Nike be everything woman's not
A go go go go go
Nike take my life along with yours
A go go go go go

It's a missile girl
With a long white face
It's a missile girl, well

Nike is the name remember it
Go go

Nike take my life along with yours
Go go
Go go

Go
There I go and it's over
There I go and then it's over
There I go and then it's over
There I go and then it's over
There I go and then it's over
There I go and then it's over
There I go and then it's over

There I go and then it's a go go, a go go
There I go and then it's a go go, a go go
There I go and then it's a go go, a go go
There I go and then it's a go go, a go go
There I go and then it's over

It's not about a vibrator. The Misfits are from New Jersey, and in New Jersey there is a tactical missile base codenamed "Nike." I'm not sure if it's still in commission today, but you can read about it in the various "Weird NJ" circulations.

This song is about the Nike missile used for defense during the cold war, not a specific base. There were Nike missle bases all over the country.

it's about nike missiles the first anti-aircraft missile but more specifically about the nike hercules missile with a nuclear warhead. he's just personifying it with a girl analogy.

This is a song about a vibrator. Read all the lines closely and you will see.

"Missle girl." "Manual sex drive" "etc."

I live in NJ, and no, the Nike Missle Base is no longer in service. It was shut down a while ago, but it is a local legend. The misfits are from Lodi, and the missle base is in East Hanover, which is about a 45 minute drive away...

the original name "Nike" comes from greek mythology. she was the Goddess of strength, speed, and victory.

I disagree with all of you, although the vibrator one is good. I think they got the name of the "charactor" from your missle base, but I think it is clearly about a "monster kid" mastrabating while looking at a poster or comic book about this Nike a go go. That is your manuel sex drive, and it explains the end, "there I go, and it's over"

These lyrics are, in my perspective, some of the best Danzig's ever published. The theme resembles something Franz Kafka would write about: A man's erotic relation to a death machine. His highest wish seems to be to reach some kind of climax by launching this missile and most likely die by the explosion

The personalizing of the "death machine" makes this track so beautifully haunting

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
