"The Best Way To Travel" as written by and Mike Pinder....
And you can fly
High as a kite if you want to
Faster than light if you want to
Speeding through the universe
Thinking is the best way to travel

It's all a dream
Light passing by on the screen
And there's you and I on the beam
Speeding through the universe
Thinking is the best way to travel

We ride the waves
Distance is gone, will we find out?
How life bean, will be find out?
Speeding through the universe
Thinking is the best way to travel

And you can fly
High as a kite if you want to
Faster than light if you want to
Speeding through the universe
Thinking is the best way to travel

General Commentthis is why i love the moody blues :)

very transcendentalist in nature; but i'm opposed to the amphtetamines claim. i mean, is there a greater high than the imagination? i'm not denying the moody blues were recreational drug users and no doubt influenced their style, but it just seems more than anything substantial, you know? maybe i'm just a hopeless, hyper-analytical optomist. not that drugs are bad ;) GOODNESS, i'm not very good at this.

General CommentThis song is clearly about LSD, the best way to travel its and LSD trip, all the lyrics make references to the effects of LSD... at the end of the song you can hear the sound of a bicycle, it´s a reference to the famous "Bicycle Day", the day doctor Albert Hofmann discovered the power of LSD. You can even found trippis with the drawing of a bycicle...so I think it´s pretty clear :)

General CommentA really cool song with typical trippy lyrics. We always used to think this song had something to do with amphetamines because of the line about "speeding"through the universe.
