Me? It's always me.
Never seems to go away
Everything I say and do to you is wrong in every way.
And I cannot believe anything you say is real
I do everything I can to prove to you exactly how I feel.
And this has got to change, it's gotta go away.
I'm so sick of screaming, sick of fighting with you everyday.
So down down baby calm down, you gotta take control now
You gotta watch yourself now.

Time and time again, always gotta find a way to
To make you happy, try to take you to that special place
Now try, and try to see, try to be just what you need
Never feeling good enough for you, never seeing what you see.
So think, before you speak don't , say things that you'll regret
You'll criticize, you'll never realize that things don't come to you like that
So down down baby, calm down, you gotta take control now
You gotta watch yourself now.

[Chorus]
And then I take it away
You're not the only one, who knows me, and makes me feel this way.
Not the only one who told me that I'll never change.
You're not the only one who showed me
A darker side of you.
Not the only one who knows me
And feels like I do....

Play me? day by day
These little games you play, it's so hard to keep my temper when you fucking call me names.,
I cannot believe the things you do to me.
All I try to do is right by you and still get blamed for everything
Lets, lets spend the night you'll see
You'll realize, you'll never criticize and things will workout easily
So down down baby, calm down, you gotta take control now,you gotta watch yourself now.

[Chorus]

Have you ever been in a long Relationship...taking the good with the bad, doing everything you can to make the other person feel special...only to get shit on in the end. This song to me, is about someone telling that person off, they are sick of it all..."your not the only one who knows me, and feels like I do..." This person does not deserve you, time to move on...

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
