You can tell white lies
And walk away from here
You can tell your side
And never see the clear

And you can tell it all
I'll stop you if you stray
And save you saying something you should never say
And you can spell it out
I'll help you win the day
And I will stop you saying something

You could have his hands
Wrapped around your throat
And you could see your face
Covered with your coat

And you can tell it all
I'll stop you if you stray
And save you saying something you should never say
And you can spell it out
I'll help you win the day
And I will stop you saying something

I don't think they know
They didn't see you arrive
They didn't here you go
I don't think they know
They didn't see you arrive
They didn't here you go

If you find a brave face
And wear it for the day
I will find a suitcase
And we could melt away

And you can tell it all
I'll stop you if you stray
And save you saying something you should never say
And you can spell it out
I'll help you win the day
And I will stop you saying something...

I don't think they know
They didn't see you arrive
They didn't here you go

General CommentI always saw this song as a dark look at a woman coming into his lif and leaving. No one saw all she had done, and there's also a commentary on her situation. Anyone else have thoughts?

General CommentI always thought it was from the view of someone trying to help someone escape abuse, but having to be careful for fear she will be killed if the person finds out what's going on. Mainly due to the seperate first and 3rd person views.
