"Eyes Wired Shut" as written by and Jeremy Rees Micah Creel....
I've thrown away...
I've thrown away again
The pills that make me
I've thrown away...
I've thrown away again
The chance, the want to change
I've thrown away...
I've thrown away again
Standing all alone
I've thrown away...
I've thrown away again...

Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
Pulling back the skin
It happens, we're getting older
Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
It's all the same
But in the end, it keeps me coming

I've blown away...
I've blown away again
The fear of failing
I've blown away...
I've blown away again
The lies that make me sane
I've blown away
The chance to make it right
I want to be
I want to see
I want to make it back to me

Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
Pulling back the skin
It happens, we're getting older
Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
It's all the same
But in the end, it keeps me coming

It's time to face (away?)
A chance to talk and make some change
To make myself to think that things were better

Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
Pulling back the skin
It happens, we're getting older
Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
It's all the same
But in the end, it keeps me coming
Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
Pulling back the skin
It happens, we're getting older
Eyes wired shut
Running through my brain
It's all the same
But in the end, it keeps me coming

General CommentThis song reminds me of the transition between high school and college.

The lyrics remind me of how in high school you had to be popular to fit in, not to change, and to always have someone around.

As you move to college you realize that you're getting older and all that bs from high school doesn't matter anymore. You're not worried as much about failing (socially mind you) and you don't have to believe in "lies" to fit in. And now that you're in college, you make it back to who you truly are.

General Commenti believe it goes a little somthing like this...

I’ve thrown away again the pills that make me
I’ve thrown away again the chance to want to change
I’ve thrown away again I’m standing all alone
    I’ve thrown away again

Eyes wired shut running through my brain
Pulling back the skin it happens we’re getting older
Eyes wired shut running through my brain
It’s all the same but in the end it keeps me coming

I’ve blown away again the fear of failing
I’ve blown away again the lies that make me sane
I’ve blown away the chance to make it right
I want to be I want to see I want to make it back to me

‘Cause I just waste away the chance the time to face the change
To make myself to think that things are better
