"We Are the Clash" as written by Joe Strummer and Bernard Rhodes....
Punk rockers, hip-hoppers
Brit poppers, show stoppers
Beboppers, hair droppers
Are you ready to sing?

Right wing, left wing
I want something
To see me through (???)
Bout what do you think

We ain't gonna be treated like trash
We got one thing
We are the Clash
What?
We are the Clash
It's like a patch
You can strike that match

With my guitar now
(???) last dance
I see them where they (???)
How they usually stay

Beating on a drum
Did they tell them 'take it in'
Got the (???)
Where the fat boy blew

We ain't gonna be treated like trash
We got one thing
We are the Clash
That's right
We are the Clash
It's like a patch
You can strike that match

Home fires burnin'
In motorcycle city
The rockin' gods will choose
If I'm worthy to live
The first (???) engine
(???) forty-six
And there's no more (???)
To imitate respect

We ain't gonna be treated like trash
We got one thing
We are the Clash
Don't take no shit
We are the Clash
Do ya hear me?
It's like a patch
You can strike that match

General CommentEvery site in the world lists the last line of the chorus as "You can strike that match." Besides the fact that I have more faith in Joe Strummer than to believe he'd actually think that would be a good line for a song, if you listen to the song, that's OBVIOUSLY not what they're saying. It sounds almost like they're saying something like "You can seal the past" (which also isn't that great a line, but still). If you listen to the cover of this song by a band called Sparks, it still doesn't sound like "You can strike that match." That's DEFINATELY the wrong lyric.

I have my doubts about "It's like a patch" too, but I'm less certain about that.

General CommentI think "It's Like a Patch" is the right lyric cuz it fits with "seal the past" I just listened to it and you can distinctly hear them say a "ch" sound at the end of the line for patch

General CommentI believe the "missing" lyrics in the fourth verse are:

"Got the Nagasaki blues where the fat boy blew"

The name of the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki ws Fatman.

General CommentThe line: Right wing, left wing
    I want something
    To see me through (???)
    Bout what do you think

    the missing words are..."the siege"

So it reads: "To see me through the siege"
