"Black Coffee" as written by J. Francis Burke and Paul Francis Webster....
One, one, two, one, one, two,
Move over, move over, yeah you heard what I said, move over.
I feel so lonely, haven't slept a wink.
I walk the floor, and watch the door.
And in between I drink black coffee.
Love's a hand-me-down brew.
I never know why sunday in this weekday brew?
I'm talking to the shadows, one o'clock till four,
And Lord how slow the moments go.
All I do is pour black coffee.
Since the blues caught my eye,
I'm hanging out on monday,
But sunday dreams too dry
They say a man is born to go alone
And a woman is born to weep and fret
To stay at home and drown her past regrets
In coffee and cigarettes.
And moody all the morning, moody all night.
And in between I drink black coffee.
Black coffee.

General CommentSuch a fantastic song. And these lyrics are wrong. This is a... er... cover (kind of) of an Ella Fitzgerald song, so the lyrics should be more like:

One, one, two, one, one, two,
    Move over, move over
Yeah, you heard what I said, move over.

    I feel so lonely
    Haven't slept a wink
I walk the floor and watch the door
    And in between I drink
    Black coffee
Love's a hand me down brew
    I'll never know a Sunday
    In this weekday room
    I'm talking to the shadows
    from 1 o'clock til 4
And lord, how slow the moments go
    All I do is pour
    Black coffee
Since the blues caught my eye
    I'm hanging out on Monday
    My Sunday dreams to dry
They say a man is born to go a lovin'
And a woman is born to weep and fret
    To stay at home
    And drown her past regrets
    In coffee and cigarettes
    And moody all the morning
    Moody all night
    And in between I drink
    Black coffee
    Black coffee

General CommentVery great it seems like this about a woman who regrets a certain event made and trying to forget it by drinking black coffee

keep in mind that black coffee contains no sugar.Sugar as we know is sweet and people tell others to give them some sugar as a kiss.Sugar can also be love in a relationship.Therefor maybe she drunk black coffee to ''tone'' out a past lover or something with only the base and no sugar(lover)
