"Falling For The First Time" as written by and Steven/robertson Page....
I'm so cool, too bad I'm a loser
I'm so smart, too bad I can't get anything figured out
I'm so brave, too bad I'm a baby
I'm so fly, that's probably why it feels just like I'm falling for the first time

I'm so green, it's really amazing
I'm so clean, too bad I can't get all the dirt off me (all the dirt off me)
I'm so sane, it's drivin' me crazy
It's so strange I can't believe it feels just like I'm falling for the first time

Anyone perfect must be lying
Anything easy has it's cost
Anyone plain can be lovely
Anyone loved can be lost
What if I lost my direction
What if I lost a sense of time
What if I nursed this infection
Maybe the worst is behind
It feels just like I'm falling for the first time
It feels just like I'm falling for the first time

I'm so chill no wonder it's freezing
I'm so still I just can't keep my fingers out of anything (fingers out of anything)
I'm so thrilled to finally be failing
I'm so done, turn me over cause it feels just like I'm falling for the first time

Anything plain can be lovely
Anything loved can be lost
Maybe I lost my direction
What if our love is the cost
Anyone perfect must be lying
Anything easy has it's cost
Anyone plain can be lovely
Anyone loved can be lost
What if I lost my direction
What if I lost a sense of time
What if I nursed this infection
Maybe the worst is behind
Maybe the worst is behind

General CommentThe first line of this song is one of the best opening lines I've ever heard. I heard the actual meaning is a perfectionist who found the glory in failing but I found another meaning. It's kinda like how you act when you're in love. You are the total opposite of what you are. But the relationship is a little suffered but it's good otherwise.

General CommentI think it's about someone trying to be perfect, always striving for the best.. Letting every failure get to them.. And then one day they're just.. "Screw it, what if I just started being myself, instead of what everyone thinks I need to be!" Maybe messing up sometimes makes doing great alittle even better!

General CommentEhh .. you guys make failing sound like so much more of a glory (in the end) than it is.

General CommentI think, when they wrote this song, they were targetting a specific person, ie they had one person in mind, ME!!!!

General CommentI think this song is talking about seeing people who think that there is such a thing as perfection and think that they are it and they themselves try to live up to the expectation set ahead of them but really no one is perfect and finding out that no one is perfect and just letting their real person show and loving every second of it...something we all need to learn

General Commenti think that this song is about how it feels to fall in love, whether it is for the first time or not being sure of yourself during that time

General CommentThis is a pretty good song, the first time I heard it was on Disney channel, I think it was on the show Bug Juice (hahhaha) And I heard just part of it, and I was like Wow that's a good song! And I just kinda guessed the name! This song has really good lyrics!

    General CommentWell, don't feel so bad about hearing it on Disney! I first heard it on a channel called "WB". They had all the kiddie cartoons mixed with the song. I went out and got their Greatest Hits CD... since I like all their other songs too. Yes, this song is about a perfectionist finding happiness or glory in failing. I plan on playing this song for my high school talent show ^.^;

General CommentI think it's about a perfectionist who, by failing, realizes that they don't have to be who everyone thinks they are. I was a straight-A student in high school, and realizing that I could be something other than just a grade once I got to college was a very liberating thing.
