I have fallen from grace
And my ashes are scattered
No longer of passion and flesh
My flame is alive
Though my wings have been shattered
They laid my body to rest

My spirit is breathing
My senses are pure
Like reincarnation
My soul will endure, ohhhh

Back on earth
Back on earth
Back on earth
The spirit - it never lets go

Like fountains of sorrow the faces are crying
I'm witnessing all of their pain
Death is so final for only the living
The spirit will always remain

Bury me deep just to cover my sins
My soul is redeemed as the journey begins

Back on earth
(you feel me)
Back on earth
(reveal me)
Back on earth
The spirit it never lets go

Another dimension, a river of light
I'm twisting,
I'm turning,
My soul is in flight

Back on earth
(you feel me)
Back on earth
(reveal me)
Back on earth
(still breathing)
Back on earth
(reliving)

This song is great ozzy admitting that he destroyed himself, and is slowly rebuilding his empire as the prince of darkness and father of metal to say he sucks is to say bands the do nothing but roars think hard about thier lyrics. Rarely has an artist ruined thier career and rebuilt it like he has.

This song is from The Ozzman Cometh CD released in 1997. However, the song itself is recorded during the Ozzmosis sessions.

lyricaly speaking, this is ozzys greatest achevement, the extremly mellow feel give listeners a new feel for the prince of darkness, otho no more tears, time after time and mama, im comming home did come out before this this is a true stature for the ozzmans career, this song, and this song alone made him no longer the freak that bites the head off of things but a man looking back on his exsistence, looking back on how he got where he is, and looking into the future to see what is next, this is true poetry

Ozzy is metaphorically representing himself as a phoenix. A phoenix is symbolic to death and rebirth as it builds a nest of spice and sings a song where it bursts into flames and from the ashes rises another phoenix. It sounds like he was at a period in his life where he self destructed and rebuilt himself from his own ashes.

This song has so many dynamics that it seems so great, which it is!!! Ozzy has a voice that makes this whole song come together and he has a past that makes it real. It shows our true human powers called will power and self motivation. Showing how you can be at the bottom or even lower but yet still succeed and become great again. Ozzy is a genius when it comes to music.

Come on people, if u enjoy this shitty music, u have no taste at all. Count, u r a fool. The bat biting and all ozzys 4 first solo albums kicked ass. He hasnt done not a good album since. I have over 30 different metal bands in my mp3 so i know what quality is. This song is one of the worst songs ive ever heard. I know quality, this is pure garbage. Really people, u need to grow some backbone. Dont accept this shit, its not even music. Oh jesus christ there are so many other songs by other great artists, and some fools ramble about this piece of shit.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
