"(k)now F(orever)" as written by and Greg Tribbett Matt Mcdonough....
Frozen moments in time,
Stopped hourglass,
They predicate, what you will know,
Dispositions lie within,
And so do we,
Don't want to run.
Don't want to hide,
Renounce the prayers for inspiration,
If you dictate what I will be
Then smash my face upon the concrete I'm weary,

I feel the stares piercing,
So sorry to soil your precious eyes,
Reflections spoon-feed you,
The bitterness and disgust that is me,
If you choose to reach out to lend to me,
I'll chew off your hand

I'm not beggin' for your f**kin' change
I'm not beggin' for your f**kin' change
I'm in touch with myself,
All alone within myself,
All one. Alone

Do what you will make it the whole of your law,
Burn down the faith that shadows life
And take a deeper look inside of what makes you
Pull down the shades internal light can be blinding
Brilliance
I'm not begging for your f**kin' change,
I'm just begging for a f**kin' change,
Complacence quenched of me

Lineage is ending

I am that, once was me, rising upward, guts wrenching
Sculpted cold, blistering, break the mold, sever me

Cut your throat, be the martyr, bitter pills, that we swallow,

Take me, chase me, swallow with me

Know, now, know, now

Inside of truth, coming to, close to me, ground consumes and
embraces
me
Now forever

Born again,
I'm repositioning,
Self inside to self non-dimensional,
Lost to being,
I've recognized the cause,
Existence to come, alive now forever

I am once was
That is me
I am once was,
That is me

I'm broken altered vacillating force,
Round square corners circles dance around wet figures,
Prisoner of time I'm no more,
Insight will guide us through the majesty of nothing,
It's like I'm touched with love by angel girl,
Let bastards rot in time for all their evil,
Let bastards rot in time for all their evil,
Let bastards rot in time

General CommentWell I did look up the Golden Dawn bullcrap honestly and well....that's what it is....you do magic? :P And the site I was in is full of crap.....Jesus is God and that's all that matters....the song is about jail birds anywho, "Let bastards rot in time for all their evil" how many other ways is there to put it? Don't be so ignorant, there's many ways to say everything especially in the English language with more words then any other language but well when they talk about time and letting them rot for it I'm sure that many will agree with me that it's about people doing time......and those who want change, "I'm not begging for your fuckin' change,
I'm just begging for a fuckin' change." I also read up on the Golden Dawn and this site is an antithesis to your beliefs so maybe you should research your own "religion" if i dare call it that. You're suppose to be supportive to others and this site is meant to let people bitch about their opinions :D. So i suggest you find yourself a new role-model because this religion doesnt seem to be working so well for ya. Try Jesus.....John 3:16 tells it all, you dont have to take my word for it just I don't want people to burn in hell for Adam and Eve's incompetence to NOT EAT FROM THAT FRICKEN TREE!

General CommentI'm not religious, but I think Christians take way too much shit. If I were in a religion like that, I would be mad as hell. The only religion I really can't stand is Jehova's wittness, because they invade your privacy. I think the reason there even are anti-christians is because christianity is so popular. Freedom OF religion folks, not freedom from it. There you go, an unbiased view.

General CommentWow, I dont see how anybody got being in jail from the lyrics, but at the same time, I am not seeing through their eyes. Im sure KuD was just being a smart ass when he made that statement about the song being about somebody in jail. Almost like throwing something out there and seeing who will latch on to it and take it without question.

This song to me is about somebody renouncing the commonly accepted organized religion (as a social structure and not a spiritual structure) and finding their own path spiritually and reaching into themselves, new feelings and experiences not felt before and expressing them. But at the same time damning and hatefully accusing/judging the place the individual left.

Now my long winded and half assed interpretation of what I believe is the message of the lyrics:

    ------------------------------------------

    Frozen moments in time,
    Stopped hourglass,
They predicate, what you will know,
    Dispositions lie within,
    And so do we,
    Don't want to run.
    Don't want to hide,
    Renounce the prayers for inspiration,
If you dictate what I will be
Then smash my face upon the concrete I'm weary,

    I feel the stares piercing,
So sorry to soil your precious eyes,
    Reflections spoon-feed you,
The bitterness and disgust that is me,
If you choose to reach out to lend to me,
    I'll chew off your hand

I'm not beggin' for your fuckin' change
I'm not beggin' for your fuckin' change
    I'm in touch with myself,
    All alone within myself,
    All one. Alone

    ------------------------------------------

In this section he PROBABLY is talking about how most people feel at church who think differently or who question the basis/foundation, trying to find their own spiritual path.

    "Frozen moments in time,
    Stopped hourglass,"

Probably means that the 'church' is stuck in the past

"They predicate, what you will know"

trying to cast the individual, and telling the individual their limits. Limiting what the individual will be spiritually. Establishing finite boundaries.

    "Don't want to run.
    Don't want to hide,
    Renounce the prayers for inspiration,
If you dictate what I will be
Then smash my face upon the concrete I'm weary,"

THe individual wants to find their own path and be themselves and not what 'they' want him to be and is obviously fresturated and angry about it.

    "I feel the stares piercing,"

If you have ever worn a t-shirt to church, you know exactly what this line means and the Judgements that go along with the stares.

"So sorry to soil your precious eyes,
    Reflections spoon-feed you,"

Probably is talking about sarcasam of not living up to the image/standards that 'you' wanted me to be

"If you choose to reach out to lend to me,
    I'll chew off your hand"

Doesn't want any help or counseling.

"I'm not beggin' for your fuckin' change
I'm not beggin' for your fuckin' change
    I'm in touch with myself,
    All alone within myself,
    All one. Alone"

    Self explanatory

    ---------------------------------------------

Do what you will make it the whole of your law,
Burn down the faith that shadows life
And take a deeper look inside of what makes you
Pull down the shades internal light can be blinding
    Brilliance
I'm not begging for your fuckin' change,
I'm just begging for a fuckin' change,
    Complacence quenched of me"

    -----------------------------------------------

"Do what you will make it the whole of your law,
Burn down the faith that shadows life"

    In agreement with "rober_grim_reaper" above

"And take a deeper look inside of what makes you
Pull down the shades internal light can be blinding
    Brilliance"

Talking about realizing the inner spirituality and individual path 'he' found inside 'himself' and how bright the light he found within 'himself'

    "Complacence quenched of me"

Could mean that 'he' no longer feels that 'he' has to 'comply' with the 'standards/influence' of the place the individual left

    ------------------------------------------

My lazy summation of the rest (because didn't realize how long winded I can be):

To me, the song describes the individual's new spiritual discovery, finding his own 'version of a truth' and and the casting of the shell/cast of who he was and bitterly discarding (what could be called a 'perversion of a truth') and judging his old way, even though he was disgusted with the way 'they' were judging him.

General Commentit's not a fucking stupid mind sect thing the drummer is in. if you knew anything about the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, you wouldn't dare say that. it's a very good organization, and i suggest you research it before you judge it. yeah, matt did help write the lyrics, but that doesn't mean that's what it's about. and the tattoo for that is on his chest.
i'm studying in the HOGD, so i find that very offensive. if you're gonna talk shit about something, find out what it is first.
