you
you return in the night
don't have a person to hold you
and you think about the past time
when you were
when you were still loved

you go to bed alone
don't have a person to warm you
and you think about your lost love
then you try to forget

try to forget, try to forget
try to forget
you should try to forget
but you can't forget

you
you don't show your tears but I do
and you hope that someone knows
that you are alone
and takes you
and takes you in his arms

your secrets are your thoughts
write them down and start to cry
write them down and start to scream
because you know you are alone

try to forget...

try to forget, but you can't forget

General CommentA simple straightforward song about an unfortunate situation featuring two people recently broken up. On one side she tries to forget him by going out with other men, partying, discovering new things, new experiences but realizes that it's not the same. She comes home alone at night (or not) depending on the situation, and still she thinks about the time she was loved. She thinks about him but tries to forget, does anything to forget until finally she succeeds. She fights all attempts to reconnect with her passed love... she wins. But she will never know how he felt about it. A cold feeling grows in her heart as she slowly grows emotionally stronger. Forgetting is now easy. The passed is now erased, memory faded and now gone.
