Last lines for today
the tired words you're too tired to say
mattered more in the dream you lived in too long
the last chance good idea
that always turns out wrong in the end
lose track of days and slip into a total haze
knocked out of tune, a thousand times inside this room
Looking up at the stars
glued above the back seat of your car
settled down, holding still to see what you find
it's enough to pass the time, and barely get you by in the fleeting moments
just close your eyes and sleep away the every night
wake up to feel brand new, a second look to see the best of you

General Commentthis is a really pretty song, nice and mellow for the end of the cd. the last two lines are awesome, basically about starting over, getting past the crap from the past.

    listen to slow reader. now.

General CommentThis really is a great song, and the imagery in the line "Looking up at the stars glued above the back seat in your car" really fits the mood of the song.

The way they played it at the Last Show was great too. Rory had a pseudo slide-guitar effect going and Gabe gave this great "ooh-hoo" at the end of it.

General CommentThis song sounds just like Elliott Smith but with a bad drum kit. I still like it though, so shut it BlackLungFever. No one wants your sickness here.
