"Comfort" as written by and Mark Kano....
In the daydream I once had
You were standing oh so sad
But the way you smiled at me
Made me laugh so awkwardly

And if you ever feel uptight
I'll make you wholesome
And I'll make it right
And if you ever fall on your knees
Give me comfort in a bottle please (2x)

Though I can't recall your name
I remember just the same
And you seem so far away
But I feel you everyday

And if you're ever feeling down
Just look me up
And I'll be around
And if you ever fall on your knees
Give me comfort in a bottle please (4x)

In the daydream I once had
You were standing oh so sad
But the way you smiled at me
Made me laugh so awkwardly

And if you ever feel uptight
I'll make you wholesome
And I'll make it right
And if you ever fall on your knees
Give me comfort in a bottle please(4x

General Commentat first glance (first listen?) it sounds like it's about booze.
but i really don't think it is.
i think it's more of a genie in a bottle sort of thing...

General CommentIt sounds like its a bout 2 people, maybe someone and thei rbest friend. And one person is talking to the other and he/she always seems to cheer them up, thus comparing themselves to comfort ina bottle because when the other person is down, they are there for them. The booze argument makes sense too. I also thought it could be possibly about someone who is always having personal problems and they are looking for a quick fix to make things better.
