"I Wish You Would" as written by Scott Michael Underwood, Pat Monahan, Charles Colin, Robert S Hotchkiss and James W Stafford....
Sleepless nights and endless days
And all I do is promise to change my ways
Leave the lights on, you know I'll pretend you're on you're way
You used to say that there's a time we all deserve to lose our minds
So I lost my mind now I'm ready to find my way

Back home
Today
To stay
The way you wished I would
And I swear
To stay
The way you wished I would

I don't know if I'm gonna have to redesign my mind
But tonight I made a wish and I sure hope that it comes true
Cause it's been too long without you
It's been too long

Come home
Today
To stay
The way you wished I would
And I swear
To stay
The way I wish you would

And even if I left it all behind
There'd be reason to come back
And even though I left you far behind
I always thought that you'd come here to find me
Come find me

I don't know if I can wait this long
To be what I used to be
And I don't think I can wait much longer
For the tide to come back to me
Come back to me

Back home
Today
To stay
The way I wish you would
And I swear
To stay
The way I wish you would
The way I wish you would

General Commentwow! amazing nowone has comented on this great song. anyway this song for me is about 2 persons being in love, but the guy is not quite shure about his feelings so he leaves her. Then he founds out that he is ready to star a relashionship with this girl, but she won't accept him so easily now. I love this song!

General CommentI think it's about a guy who was not very good in a relationship, sort of a prick. This girl took it and still loved him but he left her anyway. The guys begging her to come back to him because he'll stay this time ... the way he wishes she would. I like that he says, "I dont' know if I can wait this long to be what I used to be" it's so powerful. He's so desperate to have her back because he's just not himself without her ... he's broken.

General CommentTrain has to be one of my favorite bands if not my favorite. They have gems like this one all over the place, and it's a shame so many people only know Drops of Jupiter, and maybe, MAYBE Calling All Angels and When I Look to the Sky.

To me this song is about exactly the situation I'm in. Guy and a girl, used to be friends, maybe even good friends. The guy started to like the girl as more than a friend, a lot more. So he started acting really weird. Not like he started flirting with her more or something like that, but he talked to her less. Maybe even got mean.

Now they aren't anything. They aren't friends anymore, and they don't talk. The guy can't stop thinking about her. He misses her, he wants her back in his life, just to have things the way they used to be. He tells her this, even though they both "know" it won't work. He says he's changed, he says he's better. He wants his life back on track, and he thinks to himself, and hopes she'll come back.

When he left, he didn't really want to leave in the first place. He wanted her to stop him, to save him in a sense. He always thought she would. She didn't.

Now all he can do is try to change, try to go back to the way things were, and hope she'll forgive him and do the same.
