"Laminate Man" as written by Joseph W. Daniels and David Scott Lucas....
Everything you want is done
You want to run and all you want to get is high
Stand back and letting all the checks roll in
You've done enough to get you by
You don't even try
With your resume around your neck
Loans are going unpaid
Dinner dates are delayed
Phones calls are never returned
Toys in the driveway
Ashes in the ashtray
Bridges that you've yet to burn
I think its coming to you
Such a strange occupation
I think its coming to you
Such a strange situation
You want to turn me around
By the resume around my neck
Hand in hand on the witness stand
Making time with you
You want to jerk me around
With your resume around your neck
You're gonna buy us with the ease of a virus and disease
You were on a rope but now your done
Your lead is hard to follow
Your story's hard to swallow
You've stopped being very much fun
I think its coming to you
Such a strange occupation
You've got it coming to you
Such a strange situation
I want to hang you up
By the resume around your neck
Hand in hand on the witness stand
Making time with you
Send you home
With broken bones
Making time with you

General CommentOk well since nobody has responded in over a month and I've had some time to think about it I will give my interpretation.

Laminate Man is basically about a man living a lie.
laminate is basically a thin plastic cover designed to look like something other than plastic

Someone who sold out and now only really cares about superficial things money, cars, drugs, etc.
"with your resume around your neck
    loans are going unpaid"
    "toys in the driveway
    ashes in the ashtray"

He has alienated possibly even betrayed his friends and loved ones to get the superficial things he now cares about
    "dinner dates are delayed
    phones calls are never returned"
"you want to jerk me around
with your resume around your neck"

And finally he is going to get what is coming to him whether it is being friendless and alone or going to prison (although I'm quite unsure I have interpreted the part about prison right mostly just a guess about what, "hand in hand on the witness stand" means)
"your lead is hard to follow
    your story's hard to swallow
you've stopped being very much fun
i think its coming to you
    such a strange occupation
you've got it coming to you"

Still feel like I'm missing something though.

General CommentI would love to know what this song is about. Local H can often be hard to interpret. All I know is the song rocks!

General CommentI think you got it right on!

That's what this whole album is about.... The best Local H albums are concept albums, where all songs are united by a common theme. And they seem to chronicle Lucas' life, rise to glory, and fade to black.

As Good as Dead - Midwest kid tries to make it big and get out of his small town

Pack Up the Cats - Midwest kid has breakout hit and sells out

P.J. Soles - Sellout fades into the background

    12 Angry Months - Heartbreak
