"Sleep Machine" as written by Alexander Greenwald and Jacques Brautbar....
Some things melt away
as night dissolves to day
Some things only stay
Silent darkness slowly kills me

I turn to you
And stir your blank expression
You're the one for me
Help me get to sleep,
Nighty night, goodnight
Something isn't right
Seems that every night,
I need you

More and more
You take me away
More and more
I need you to stay
More and more
Distract me from
The instant loss of light
More and more
I need you tonight

Come, let's go for a while
And pretend you're mine for a while
Come, let's go, Yeah, yeah

More and more
You take me away
More and more
I need you to stay
More and more
Distract me from
The instant loss of light
More and more
I need you

Goodnight

General Commentthis is one of my favorites by PP. i think the lyrics are pretty self-explanitory, it's about needing someone. but i just wanted to say that i really like this song.

General CommentActually, Jaques from the band said this...

"Jacques: A lot of people think this is a cheesy love song. But it’s actually about my love/hate relationship with my television. For a while, I couldn’t fall asleep unless the TV was on."

I liked the song more after I read that :)

General CommentI am usually not one for sappy love songs, but I really like this song, and although I find the idea that it is about tv quite hilarious, it also kind of ruins the song for me. I was happy in my little world where it was about someone, and not something.

General CommentThere is too much emotion in his voice when he is singing for me to want to believe it is about something so materialistic.

General CommentTV?! that makes more sense now!! right at the very beginning of the song, it seems as if a TV show host is saying something...

    I LOVE THIS SONG!
