It's over today
The heat is gone
Time is gone
F for fake
I feel no wrong
Hide no wrong
I love this place
The lights....
Under this face
So dry....

Only way to change
Give yourself away
Don't be ashamed
Next in line; close one eye
Just walk by

In these days
I'm breathing stone, crying stone
I'll win this race
I'll leave alone, arrive alone
Love this place, the lights...
Under this face, so dry...

Stripped to the bone
I did no wrong
Truth is my name
Give yourself away

General CommentIts bout society forcing people to change to fit in and people knowing that it's wrong but conforming and turning a blind eye (i think)

    Only way to change
    Give yourself away
    Don't be ashamed
Next in line; close one eye
    Just walk by

My Interpretationcoming out, getting clean. being honest with oneself and be a better person for it. disregard all of one's past lies to oneself and to others, and take a step forward. realise that lying and keeping to oneself makes life hard and miserable. honesty makes things better. if one does something bad and lies about it, things generally get worse. stay honest and one can "[do] no wrong".

    "truth is my name,
    give yourself away."

    = coming clean.

the title "stripsearch"... imagine the shame and the fear of being stripsearched. nothing is private anymore. everything you've ever hidden from anyone is now in the open.

General CommentThey maybe want to say be yourself in this world that are trying to suck you in: "Love this place, the lights...
Under this face, so dry...". Anycase, FNM rules once more.

General CommentHa! I always thought this song was about a stripper/prostitute!!! "love this place, the lights. Under this face so dry." meaning to me that she's selling something (her body, erotic entertainment, whatever) that she doesn't truly feel. Like smiling and acting turned on but feels disgusted with herself and even the man on the inside. Plus the line "only way to change, give yourself away. Don't be ashamed next in line." is pretty hilarious from the whole hooker point of view! "If these days I'm breathin' stone, cryin' stone. I'll win this race, I'll leave alone. Arrive alone." pretty much sounds like a very hopeless drug reference. Which is no stranger to the stripper/prostitute world. I dunno though

General CommentIt's probably about the lack of justice in society today. :D
I don't know, but that last verse is a real lyrical hook
    "Stripped to the bone
    I did no wrong
    Truth is my name
    Give yourself away"
