i've thought about windows before,
but this one's too high.
filtered light, trees outside.
is this the end?
fifteen, and bleeding,
and leaving myself behind.

i have to believe
that things would be different
if someone had told me
what i'm telling you now.
if someone had warned me.

is this the end of everything?
fifteen minutes later,
and oh, how i've changed.

General Commentrainer maria's lyrics are so about such simple, everyday subject matter. this song is what growing up is like, and they sing it so heartwrenchigly, i almost remember what it was like to be fifteen.

General Commentwhen i first heard this song about 5 years ago, i didnt hear it as being about growing up at all. it brought up feelings of one of my own past experiences having gotten involved with someone that i shouldnt have, who forced me in to sex when i was only 14 and changed my life forever. if you read the lyrics through that scope, they match really well with the emotions brought in to my life at least, by this experience. just a different persepctive.

General Commentthis song is awesome. i think its about being fifteen and having sex. and if the girl would have been told about it before, she wouldn't be in that situation. i love the ending.

General Commentits weird because the song has more lyrics, but they arent in the lyric sheet that came with the cd either.
she says two more lines in the song right after the
"is this the end of everything"
    it sounds something like
"i am so young,i hate well times" or "i hate will (something?)".
    i dont know.
i agree with it being aboutsex, and a girl feeling terrible, maybe suicidal,i always thought she was thinking about jumping out of a window in the first part, but it could be totally different, like looking out the window gives her hope,or a chance to escape from the past, except its too high,so she feels trapped.
