"Tinfoil" as written by Chester Charles Bennington, Robert G. Bourdon, Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell and Joseph Hahn....
god damn it,
i'm not talking about my heart
like it's something you could break.

there's no convincing you
i'm not sick.

when i say "heart",
nothing comes to mind.
drug stores make me feel good.
think of silver around my wrist,
i'm not well.
your chest is a cage for my letters,
and your handwriting's better than mine.

god damn it,
i'm not talking about my heart
like it's a tinfoil valentine.

call an ambulance.
i don't want to walk home alone.

General Commentmy heart's not something that can be broken and it's not a tinfoil valentine = her heart doesn't exist. it's not just "broken" (like when people say "you broke my heart") because it's not that superficial. the guy she's talking about actually stole her heart.

"your chest is a cage for my letters and your handwriting's better than mine" = "you have anything sentimental i've ever given you or said to you, and you're keeping it for yourself."

"call an ambulance. i don't want to walk home alone." = she doesn't need an ambulance because she's sick; she needs one because she's lonely and afraid.

i dunno, i could be totally wrong, but to me -- the powerful, angry vocals and the heartbreaking tone tell me i'm sort of close. i love r|m.

General CommentFrom the very first second of this song, it's like there's this rush of energy that starts swimming through you. It's amazing.

General CommentI love how their earlier songs are so straightforward and accessible, yet so poetic all at the same time.

"and your handwriting's better than mine" is my favourite line just for the sheer bitterness of it all.
