Would you believe me when I tell you
You're the queen of my heart
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you
Just ain't the way it seems
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Would you believe me when I do you
You're the queen of my heart
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you
Just ain't the way it seems
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
You're the queen of my heart
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you
Just ain't the way it seems
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Would you believe me when I do you
You're the queen of my heart
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you
Just ain't the way it seems

This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
Just A Little Lovin'

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
Blue
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
I respect that this is a cover, and all credit to Shocking Blue...but Kurt took this song, and fucked the shit out of its grunge-hole in the best way possible. Reading over that, it sounds like an immature statement, but I do mean it in the way that it was taken to such an extent that it was still recognisable to the original, but something amazing in it's own way (as all covers should do).
Secondly, I would have to disagree that Kurt wouldn't feel any connection to the lyrics of this song because he didn't write them. From what I can fathom from my readings, he was an avid fan of music, both Pop and Punk. These lyrics could possibly encompass his feelings towards Tracy (his girlfriend at the time of this songs launch as their debut single through Sub-Pop).
Who can ever know....you can't blame the drugs TOO much at this stage, because he pretty damn clean during these earlier days, except for the occasional heavy binge and what he did during his teens. But yeah, like I said...who can ever know.
Definitely, the Bleach album kicks ass and is probably my favorite album of theirs. This and Negative Creep are probably my favorites from it!
He did not steal anything, but it is a Shocking Blue cover.
I forgot.... Love Buzz is originally done by Shocking Blue, known for their song "venus".
I like this version, but it kind of bothers me that it leaves out lyrics that were in the original.
The second verse of the Shocking Blue original:
"I need you like a desert needs rain I would rather like to die. Darling I hurt when I do not see you So spread your wings and fly."
Would you believe me when I tell you You are the queen of my heart (good way to say i love you, your the only one)
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you Just ain't the way it seems Can you feel my love buzz
(meaning, please dont cheat on me when we fight, its not cause i hate you, its outta love) fighting is a love buzz can you feel my love buzz
the debut single and a cover
yes, i GUESS it is.
In the second verse, the first line is a word different. "Would you believe me when I do You?..." Shocking Blue, yes.
yeah, the original's really weird.
and ya, kurt did steal a bit. the riff to come as you are borrowed heavily from a killing joke song.
