"Last Train" as written by and Francis Healy....
Rain on the brain
Now there's flowers in your window
She, well she's so strange
I don't know anything about her
But if it's all the same to you
Here's what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna write a song
Gonna sing it to everyone
And then I'll sing it to you
'cos it was you that wrote it too
This could be the last train

Search within yourself for feelings
Everybody's got them
You left me on the shelf
And now there's no-one to rely on
But if it's all the same to you
Here's what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna buy a gun
Gonna shoot eberything, everyone
And then I'm coming for you
'cos it was you that drove me to
This could be the last train

Woo-woo
Woo-woo
Woo-woo
Woo-woo
Rear window
Wit the room in her hair
And on her jacket
There's a picture of che guevara
As he sits beneath the tree
But that's not important
But he look a bit like me
If you took all the little feelings in your heart
And took all those little feelings apart
Oh well now
What's the point in doing all of that?

General CommentI think that maybe this song is about feeling fed up in a relationship. It seems to me like the person he's singing about was a cold hearted bitch with no feelings and really treated him like crap.

General Commenti believe that this song is one of the darkest songs Travis ever recorded.I think it's not only about a cold hearted person but about everyone who drive us nuts or those people who don't appreciate our love.

General Comment'and it's all the same to you'

maybe about being ignored, i think. it does kind of sound like they want some attention, and they're so desperate they'll do anything... this is an extremely pretty-sounding song, by the way.

General CommentFran channels his dark side in this one ... this song seems to be about being in a relationship and wondering if you really know who you're with. What makes me think this is the references to "Flowers in the Window" and "She's So Strange" at the start of the song - it's as though he goes from having everything sorted out to a state where he doesn't understand what's going on at all. It makes me think that this is a paranoid flight that Fran decides to ride out by writing about it. He takes something small that is bothering him (a feeling that he doesn't know someone as well as he wishes) and amplifies it into a grand piece of pulp fiction. In the end he cools his head, gains some perspective and realizes that everything is going to be alright as it is.

General Commenti kinda get a psychotic vibe from this song. like after you break up with someone, you get a lil crazy and start doin mental stuff? it totally symbolizes that. well maybe it's just me...

General CommentI feel like this cat is in some sort of delusional relationship and is angry when his efforts are not returned...I may be way off, but it seems like he looks at the flowers in the window from the outside...almost stalkerish...not knowing her, but admiring from a distance...

General CommentI love it when he starts to make the noise of the train,I think thats brilliant.I love it when he finishs doning that and he's coming onto the last verse and his voice seems to be going on for ages before you reach the verse. The bit where he says "rear window".It is pretty dark when he says "If its all the same to you, here's what I going to do,I'm going to buy a gun, gonner shoot everything, everyone
and then I'll come for you because it was you who drove me to"
I think he's using the metaphor of the train to show hsi last chance or opportunity, and how he doesn't want to miss it,but it's not worth comtemplating if he did

General CommentIt`s about a boy who`s not getting the love he needs from his girlfriend. He feels that she doesn`t care about his feelings, and that she`s ignoring him and pushing him away. The trust they once had is gone, and there`s no one to rely on. She don`t care about him, she only cares about herself. He`s sad, angry and bitter. Very good song!

General CommentI'm thinking "you left me on the shelf" might be a reference to 'Why does it always rain on me?'

if you took all the little feelings in your heart
and took all those little feelings all apart
oh well now what's the point in doing all of that

He tries to wake the girl's conscience but at the same time knows it's too late to change and overanalysing his feelings won't get him anywhere.
