"Freedom" as written by and De La Rocha/commerford/morello/wilk....
Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list
All live, never on a floppy disk
Inka, inka, bottle of ink
Paintings of rebellion
Drawn up by the thoughts I think

It's set uplike a deck of cards
They're sending us to early graves
For all the diamonds
They'll use a pair of clubs to beat the spades
With poetry I paint the pictures that hit
More than the murals that fit
Don't turn away
Get in front of it

Brotha did ya frget my name
Did ya lose it on the wall
Playin' tic-tac-toe

Yo, check the diagonal
Three brothers gone
Come on
Doesn't that make it three in a row
Anger is a gift

Brotha did ya frget my name
Did ya lose it on the wall
Playin' tic-tac-toe

Yo, check the diagonal
Three million gone
Come on
'Cause ya know they're counting backwards to zero

Environment
The environment exceeding on the level
Of our unconsciousness
For example
What does the billboard say
Come and play, come and play
Forget about the movement
Anger is a gift

Freedom, freedom, yea right

General CommentALright Let me try this..

First verse is about the indian guy who is mentioned already by someone else as a response
and because of what happened to him, zachs thoughts come out..he is the militant poet..

Second verse ...Diamonds r Diamonds, clubs r clubs (police clubs)and a spade is a slang term for a coloured person.

Brotha, did ya forget ya name?
Did ya lose it on the wall
    Playin' tic-tac-toe?

Playing a game distracts u from what really is goin on
U play tic tac toe, the government plays games to (killing poeple)
Check the diagonal(diagonal line goin down) 3 million gone comon (3 mill dead) Counting backwards to zero(diagonal line goin down and the game they play while u play tic tac toe)...

General CommentAnother song on govt and corporation control over the people. Often used for the fight to free Leanard Peltier, a Native American accused of rebellious acts and incarcerated unjustly for more than 20 years.

General CommentThe anger is a gift bit - Stating the fact that if people never got angry, they wouldnt protest, make their voices heard. Maybe even fight for a just cause.
