"Wonderful Christmastime" as written by John Lennon, George Harrison, Richard Starkey and Paul Mccartney....
The moon is right
The spirits up
We're here tonight
And that's enough
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The party's on
The feelin's here
That only comes
This time of year

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The choir of children sing their song
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding ooo
Ooo ooo toot toot toot toot toot toot

We're simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The word is out
About the town
To lift a glass
Ah don't look down

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The choir of children sing their song
They practiced all year long
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong, dong, dong, dong, dong

The party's on
The spirits up
We're here tonight
And that's enough

Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
We're simply having a wonderful Christmastime

The moon is right
The spirits up
We're here tonight
Oh and that's enough

We're simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime
Simply having a wonderful Christmastime

Oh oh
Christmastime

General CommentI'm sure this song was intentionally simple, but... he's Paul McCartney. Any holiday song he recorded was destined to be played every year on the radio. I wish he would have come up with some meaningful lyrics as opposed to a "sing-a-long". John Lennon's Happy Xmas is a much better example of a Holiday song with longevity (and I'm a big McCarney fan).

General CommentI usually side with the original, but Tom McRae's version is ten times better.

General CommentThe worst Christmas song ever! It is so poor.
I think he wrote it on a boring, rainy Sunday afternoon when he had nothing else to do and just wanted a tune that would pay royalties every year.
