"Going to Pasalacqua" as written by and Billie Joe/kiffmeyer Armstrong....
Here we go again, infatuation
Touches me just when I
Thought that it would end
Oh but then again it seemed
Much more than that but
I'm not sure exactly what you're thinking

Well,I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of affection
But to find that it's not different at all
Well I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say, what the hey

Would it last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away, far away
I'll beat that nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way, yeah, far away

Here we go again, infatuation
Touches me just when I
Thought that it would end
Woah, then again it seemed
Much more than that but
I'm not sure exactly what you're thinking

Well,I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of affection
But to find that it's not different at all
Well I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say, what the hey

Would it last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away, far away
I'll beat that nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way, yeah, far away

Let's go fucking crazy

Well,I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of affection
But to find that it's not different at all
Well I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say, what the hey

Would it last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away, far away
I'll beat that nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way, far away,
Far away

General Commentyeah i totally agree with u guys
it's like you've just gotten out of a love that's messed you up pretty bad and you find yourself right back falln in love again, and it's like i don't want this cos i'll just get hurt but it feels so good at the time so you embrace it anyway. then you find it's all you can think about.
this is a fav song of mine

Song MeaningHe has a strong attraction for a girl. He thinks its foolish and thinks it could be more than an attraction and thinks he might love her. He finds that the feeling is mutual. He puts his not so perfect past behind him and takes the chance with the girl aside from the chance that it will be a bumpy ride. Basically picking up their bags and hitting the road on a long journey together with love.

General CommentWell this is my favorite ever song and i have no idea what Billie actually meant by it so i'll just guess. To me it's about a guy who has just got over a person but finds himself falling for someone new. He's not sure what to think because he doesn't want to be put through all the crap again and has no idea how this new girl thinks of him

General Commenti think that's a pretty good guess. i think he also kind of thinks that maybe he shuold go for it, even though he's expecting that it might go bad, but right now he'll take the chance anyways

General CommentHe's talking about the period of time after which a relationship that you thought was going to go far ends. The time when you tell yourself that you will never fall for that optimistic "we'll be together forever" crap. Suddenly he finds himself falling in love again and wonders if he should start thinking about the future with another person, after the last time merely blew up in his face and resulted in nothing.

He wonders how she feels because its hard to read your hopes and dreams in someone elses eyes, but he resolves to take the good with the bad and go ahead and throw away the past bitterness.

General CommentApparently the title refers the the Pasalacqua Funeral home that Billie Joe used to hang out at with the girl he wrote this song about because her dad or somebody owned it. Kind of creepy.

General CommentThis song is about the time Billie went to the Pasalacqua super market in Canada and they ran out of Hot Pockets. He was mad because they didn't have them. Ha!
