On No One Left Alive In 1985, Will Ever Do
She May Be Right
She May Be Fine
She May Get Love But She Won't Get Mine
'Cos I Got You
Oh I Oh I
Well I Just Can't Enough Of That Sweet Stuff
My Little Lady Gets Behind

On My Mama Said The Time Would Come
When I Would Find Myself In Love With You
I Didn't Think I Never Dreamed
That I Would Be Around To See It All Come True
Woh I Oh I
Well I Just Can't Get Enough Of That Sweet Stuff
My Little Lady Gets Behind.

General CommentWhat??? No one has commented on this? I don't give a crap about the lyrics, but this is easily the greatest song on the Band On The Run album, and it's among the greatest in the entire Macca catalogue. It rocks like none other. This would have made an excellent single, even if it was just the B-side to "Band on the Run". It's certainly better than "Jet" anyway.

General CommentAgreed. This song is amazing. I had never heard it until I bought the album a few months ago and it definitely stood out among the rest of the tracks. Even though the lyrics don't really make sense, you don't even realize it because of that hypnotic thumping piano. A wonderful song to close out a terrific album.

General CommentI think the lyrics are a rather original way of saying "I love you very much".
Of course, the important thing about the song is it's grooviness. It's a pity though, that there are points in the song where the groove stops (the ooh ooh ooh etc. parts). That makes the song hard to really freak out on. Macca should have left those out and have come up with something else. Apart from that it's quite amazing. My favorite off Band on the Run.

General CommentCould have been Paul wondering about 10 years in the future (the song came out in 1974). Could have been inspired by the George Orwell book 1984. Not sure. Maybe it says the future won't turn out the way you think (I didn't think, I never dreamed, that I would be around to see it all come true).

Great track though. And I like the little Ooh, ooh, interludes - gives the song some relief. Great piano/dums/bass rocker.

I discovered this on the Band on the Run B-side way back when and have liked it ever since. The Band on the Run reprise at the end is cool too.

General Commentwikipedia says this song is about john lennon... not quite sure how.

anyways, i think it is the best song on the album, although some of the sax the makes mrs. vanderbelt would have been cool.

General CommentMcCartney has a lot of good songs from after The Beatles but this is his best Post-Beatles song hands down......

General CommentI think it's about Linda. Not John. Think about Linda's activism:

    She May Be Right
    She May Be Fine
She May Get Love But She Won't Get Mine
    'Cos I Got You
    Oh I Oh I
Well I Just Can't Enough Of That Sweet Stuff
    My Little Lady Gets Behind

There are others (more probably many others: his career, the band, etc.) that compete for Paul's attention/affection for Linda

but Paul only wants her...She interests him, and so do her interests:

She may get love, but she won't get mine, 'Cos I got you...well I just can't get enough of that sweet stuff my lady gets behind.

General CommentHe never said but it very well could be about a playful puppy that he loved. I'm not joking. He liked to write songs about his pets (Martha and Jet for example). It was recorded in 1973. The lyrics fit.
