"Androgynous Mind" as written by Kim Gordon, Lee M. Ranaldo, Steven Jay Shelley and Thurston Joseph Moore....
[Thurston]
Hey sad angel walks, and he talks like a girl
Out trying to think why it stinks, he's not a girl
Now he's kicked in the gut, they fucked him up, just enough
They got me down on my knees, I kiss his ring, God is love

Androgynous mind, androgynous mind
Androgynous mind, androgynous mind
Androgynous mind, androgynous mind

Hey hey are you gay? are you God?
My brain's a bomb, to turn you on
Everything is all right
God is gay, and you were right

Androgynous mind, androgynous mind
Androgynous mind, androgynous mind
Androgynous mind, androgynous mind

Hey hey it's OK, hey hey it's OK [x4]
Hey hey it's OK, hey it's OK [x5]
Hey hey it's OK, hey hey it's OK [x6]

God said it's all right, for you to fight
To free yr mind
Whose side are you on?
Like a bomb, you're free tonight

Androgynous mind, androgynous mind
Androgynous mind, androgynous mind
Androgynous mind, androgynous mind

Hey hey it's OK, hey hey it's OK [x4]
Hey hey it's OK, hey it's OK [x5]
Hey hey

General CommentI love this song, especialy the line "Are you gay? Are you God?"...obviously directed toward religious fundies who attack homosexuals and say "God hates fags".

General CommentI think Kurt Cobain used to write:
    "God is Gay"
On public walls in his hometown

General Commenti don't think this song is religious.
it just says being different from the others is ok,whatever you do is right for you,god is at your side.

General Commentthis song is probably an attack against homophobes that use their conservative/fundamentalist believes as an "excuse" for violence against LGBT people. the "god is gay" thing is possibly a provocative spit-in-the-face of "fred phelps" types.

There is a cement wall in my hometown that has had "God Is Gay" spraypainted on it for as long as I can remember.

I was passing through town about a month ago and it is still there...lol

General CommentThese are most likely Kurt Cobain references: "god is gay, and you were right." The last line of the Nirvana song Stay Away is 'god is gay.'

General CommentThis song is an attack against religious fundamentalists who use "God" to advocate violence against LGBT people. "God is gay" is an attack as well because these people say that "god" would support them for this violence when in reality, their god has stated that they must "love their neighbor and leave revenge to god".

In the song, the gay guy gets beat up by religious fundies, and Thurston assures the guy that the fundies were wrong and he was right.

General CommentI was thinking the same, except it seems likely the subject is a transexual.
