"Brave Men Run (In My Family)" as written by Robert Bert, Kim A. Godron, Thurston J. Moore and Lee M. Ranaldo....
Seven days and seven nights
I dreamt a sailor's dream at sea
Seven days and seven nights
I dreamt a sailor's dream of me
Seven days and seven nights
The world was made and lost again
Seven days and seven nights
Brave men run
In my family
Brave men run
Into the setting sun
Brave men run
Into captivity
Brave men run
In my family

Brave men run
Away from me

General CommentDoes no one have Bad Moon Rising? It's an AWESOME album. This song is confusing i don't really get it.

General CommentSounds like someone smoked pot and wrote down what was on his mind. XD
Anyway, I have Bad Moon Rising, its a good album but exhausting to listen to. I only listen to it, when I can fully concentrate on it, else it drives me insane.

General Commentmaybe the song is referencing Noah's building of the ark? Didnt it take 7 days + 7 nights?

General CommentIt seemed to me about a woman who dreams of finding a decent guy, noticing only that when ever she comes close she scares them, often away. In truth, what scares them is that she is more impressive than any of them... After all, brave men run in her family.

I love this song. Great melody, clever lyrics.

General CommentCool lyrics. My first listen to SY, though, did not reveal them to me. The album is too noisy for comprehending many of the words. Best to read the lyrics ahead of time (or while listening) IMO.
