"Wildflower Soul" as written by Kim Gordon, Lee M. Ranaldo, Steven Jay Shelley and Thurston Joseph Moore....
Sing your children
Your children song
Sing your love child
Love is on
See through child eyes
Eyes are old
And old is magic growing
See the child lights
Spinning gold
Everyday girl
They blow away
Leaves falling to the water
For you today
Sing your birthday
Your birthday blues
Sing your wild light
Wildflowers bloom
They will not forget you
And down/they go
To sleep/so slow
Away/they grow
They go
I wait/I wait all day
Sing your love child
Love is on
Sing your child lights
Sing your child lights
Lights are gold
Sing your child life
Wildflower soul

General CommentThis is Thurston's ode to Coco, his and Kim's daughter.

General CommentOne of my favorite sonic youth songs. Assuming the lyrics are about Coko that is very beautiful, and the music is even more beautiful. I love the long instrumental part, and it may be nine minutes long but it certainly doesn't drag on. If anything, it's too short! :)

Song ComparisonDoes anyone else see the lyrics of this song relating to the lyrics of "Wild Flowers" by Mark Lanegan? That song also mentions wild flowers waiting for someone. The line about child eyes also reminded me of another song on that same Mark Lanegan album, "Eyes Of A Child". I might just be reading too much into it though, but that was just something I thought of.
