"Stormy Monday" as written by and Aaron Walker....
They call it Stormy Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad
They call it Stormy Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad
Lord, and Wednesday's worse
Thursday's also sad

The eagle flies on Friday,
Saturday I go out to play
The eagle flies on Friday,
But Saturday I go out to play
Sunday I go to church,
Gonna kneel down and pray

Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy on me
Though I'm tryin' and tryin' to find my baby,
Won't somebody please send 'er home

Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy on me
Yeah, I'm proud, Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy on me
Tell me baby
Though I'm tryin', tryin' to find my baby,
Won't send 'er home to me, yeah
Oh baby

General Commentthis song is clearly about someone who has lost someone who is important to the singer (probably a girlfriend), and no matter what day of the week it is, time can't cure his pain, and he just needs to find her.
