"Reception Fades" as written by and Principe/mcilrath/barnes/wleklinski....
You talk about the way things were
But I can't hear what you're saying
A time when life was not this hard
Blessed by the innocence

Is the best yet to come?
Or did it pass by long ago?
Are we holding on to a thread
Of something already dead?

I'm not your reason to stand up straight
Shoulders back chest out and eyes raised
Stepping back, I hesitate
I can't let myself be taken

The reception fades, the signals breaking up
And am I moving on or am I giving up?
If you walk away from this with anything
Live your life today

General Commenti love the beginning lines:
it is, in the end whatever the hell i want it to be and when im through with it, its gonna blow a whole this wide, straight through the worlds own idea of itself...there throwing bottles at your house, common lets go break their arms"..i think that is the sickest quote ever..does anyone know where it came from??

General CommentThe quote at the beginning of the song is from the movie "Henry Fool". It's good, I suggest you check it out.

General CommentThis is totally about a relationship. It's about staying in a relationship after it's over because they've been together so long, they don't know how to live life without each other.

The song is saying, you can't use me as a crutch anymore, you have to live your life and I have to live mine.

General CommentI think it's a relationship going through hard times and their asking themselves if its still worth it and if its going to get better. That's where the lyrics "Is the best yet to come" come in.Also. one of them is saying that there not the others reason to try their best and they don't want to be taken into the relationship like that. They don't know if they're moving on in the relationship and forgetting the problem, or just pretending that everything's fine but in reality giving up. "The reception fades the signals breaking up" thats just a metaphor that stands for how they don't know if they're moving on or giving up. Great lyrics.
