I will pray
I will pray
I will go down low
And I will pray to you
Down as low as I can go
I will go there and I will pray to you
I will beg you
I will beg you lord
I will deny myself
I will deny you lord
Though I've done nothing wrong
Never in my live
No no no no no
I will beg you lord
And I will pray for you to forgive me now
I will go down to the centre of the earth
And I will curl up in flames
And I will beg you lord
Take me in your cruel arms
Take me down home
And will say
"Come into me, lord, come in now
Come on in
Praise the lord!
Praise God!"

Come into my heart, sweet lord
Come into my heart
I am open
I am torn apart
I am naked
And I am impure
I am sexless
I am foul
And I am ignorant
And I am hateful
Forgive me lord
Come in
Come on in
Praise God
Praise the lord
Praise god
Praise the lord
Forgive me lord

General CommentDid I fail to mention that this is freaking awesome live? Not anymore. Also, the live version replaces the self-deprecating part with this:
"I am sexless and I am impure,
I am ignorant and I am foul,
And I am hateful and I am impure,
I am sexless, I am foul"
Along with some hysterical shouts of "Jesus Christ!" and "Come down!" Outright demonic.

General CommentPriests having to give up things which are natural for their God.
The yells of praise God at the end, in context of the song, are twisted!

General CommentNotice the album cover. The cover has lined up crosses and swirls. It's obvious what the crosses represent. In some religious symbolism, the swirl is a symbol for fornication. Notice the title of this song. Exact same pattern as the title. As the lyrics in this album tend to thrive on, the song is about the conflict between human desire and religion. In fact, the lyrics seem to be spoken from the perspective of a man speaking two his original god (sex and fleshly desire) and his new god (God).

The lyrics "I will beg you, I will beg you lord" may be spoken to God, while "I will deny myself, I will deny you lord" may be spoken to sex. The album's theme is conflict, so why wouldn't the song follow the same pattern as the album cover and the title?
