"Over My Head" as written by and Mark Edward Kozelek....
Some odd door, some blooming tree
Senseless and awkward feeling hard uneased
Sleep in rooms where people leave
Dry of gentleness of life of breeze

Sometimes you get so alone
Without a friend
It's hard to know who you are?
And to pretend

Little lights reaching over my head
Shiny sinks to let myself out in
And you won't call to say that it's all right
'Cause you know it lasts all night

You know you should be at home
Where it's good to be tired
Under a roof that you know
That we're inside

Some odd door, off-white painted sills
Faded pictures gathered 'round me still
And I know what you face in the night
And I know you'll be alright

General Commentthis album's underrated, and i think this is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard.

General CommentI'm not completely sure what this song is about. I know that is is about being sad and alone. I think it might also be about letting go of the past. I really like the last line in the song though "and i know aht you face in the night and I know you'll be alright"

General Commentsome how though, this song always makes me feel happy. Like getting on the open road on your way to a camping trip so much to look forward to- a carefree time and its only just begun.

General CommentIt makes me happy through how relative it is to me with my own feeling of loneliness. These conflicting emotions make the song all the more beautiful.
