"Cherry Oh Baby" as written by Joe Bihari and Elmore James....
[Chorus:]
Oh, Cherry, oh Cherry, oh baby
Don't ya know I in need of thee
You don't believe it true
Why don't you love me, too
Its so long I've been waiting
For you to come right in
Now that we are together
Is make my joy run over

Yeah [Repeat: x7]

{Chorus]
Oh Cherry, oh Cherry, oh baby
Don't ya know I in love with you
You don't believe I know
So why don't you try me
I'm never gonna let you down
Never make you wear no frown
You say you love me madly
Then why do you treat me badly

Yeah [Repeat: x7]

[Chorus]
Oh Cherry, oh Cherry, oh baby
Don't ya know I in love with you
You don't believe I know
So why don't you try me (try me)
I'm never gonna let you down no
Never make you wear no frown
You say you love me madly
Then why do you treat me badly

Yeah [Repeat: x3]

General CommentGreat example of the Stones when they got into reggae. Keith especially grew really fond of the sound. Him and Peter Tosh became really good friends in the 70s. For some complete reggae tracks by the Stones check out "Crackin' Up" (a Reggae version of the Bo Diddly song from 'Love You Live') and "Too Rude" (off of Dirty Work), but a listen to any post-Exile album and you'll be able to hear the influence.

General CommentToo obvious to mention, maybe, but she's called Cherry because she's a virgin. It's a bloke trying to talk his girlfriend into putting out - & he succeeds, going by the grunts & squeals at the end!
