"Tender" as written by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Steven Alexander James and David Rowntree....
Tender is the night
Lying by your side
Tender is the touch
Of someone that you love too much
Tender is the day
The demons go away
Lord I need to find
Someone who can heal my mind

Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
That we have
I'm waiting for that feeling
I'm waiting for that feeling
Waiting for that feeling to come

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my

Tender is the ghost
The ghost I love the most
Hiding from the sun
Waiting for the night to come
Tender is my heart
I'm screwing up my life
Lord I need to find
Someone who can heal my mind

Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
That we have
I'm waiting for that feeling
I'm waiting for that feeling
Waiting for that feeling to come

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my

Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
That we have
I'm waiting for that feeling
I'm waiting for that feeling
Waiting for that feeling to come

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my

Tender is the night
Lying by your side
Tender is the touch
Of someone that you love too much
Tender is my heart you know
I'm screwing up my life
Oh lord I need to find
Someone who can heal my mind

Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
That we have
I'm waiting for that feeling
I'm waiting for that feeling
Waiting for that feeling to come

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my

Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Oh my baby
Oh my baby

Song MeaningThis is possibly my favourite song ever, and was written by Albarn (and Coxon) after Albarn's split with the Elastica singer Justine Frischmann, who he had been with for over eight years. The song explains Damon's longing for true love and a remedy to 'heal his mind' after the split. The song 'No Distance Left to Run' on the same album is about his break-up also. 13 is probably Blur's most personal album and their last decent effort. Tender is a message to himself and those others in his situation to find new love because love is the only way through.

Tender is as simple as possible but is easily the most beautiful song ever

General CommentI think its about a guy who feels very down and depressed with himself and is looking for love which he knows will heal his mind.

I love that part! It's so simple, yet so beautiful. I can just see myself saying that to someone I know. They way Damon sings that part is just heartbreaking.

General CommentPROLES! There is an F Scott Fitzgerald book entitled "tender is the night" this song relates to the plot and themes of said book. Fitzgerald considered it his best work. In a very pyrrhic victory, im not going to tell you what its about! THERE! so itll take you another two seconds to google it. Woe is me. Haha im just kidding...no one take offence!

General CommentIt's definitley a breakup song. But it's a "come on get over it" breakup song. I sang this song for weeks, and didn't stop until I had found someone to heal my mind, hehe.
