"Hand" as written by Dan Haseltine, Charlie Lowell, Stephen Daniel Mason, Matt Odmark and Jonathan Noel....
I'm here waiting for something new to break my heart
So callous laden I can't feel a thing at all
Will You catch my fall?

From lost and not found to run and not hide
My hand inside... (Your hand)

Fear is keeping time with the beating of my heart
Doin' way too much thinkin'
And it's tearing me apart
But I I feel You reach for me

From lost and not found to run and not hide
My hand inside... (Your hand)
Losing my grip falling so far
My hand inside Your hand

I hear Your voice and follow
So hard to believe, and still I go

General Comment1st off: how can nobody have written about this incredible song. Its in my opinion, the best off If I Left The Zoo. Great guitaring/vocal bridge in the middle. As for what it means...its taken from a quote by Fredrick Buechner. An elaboration that faith is reaching into the darkness and letting it hold and protect us. (God that is)

General Commenttruly, this is the best sonf off the If i left the zoo album..the message of the song is being so ready to surrender yourself to the inevitable hurtjust by facing daily life, and the hard choices we have to make as well yet remaining hopeful that Jesus will be there jsut watching us and always extending a Hand in our time of gravest need..amen
