"Famous Last Words" as written by Stephen Daniel Mason, Charlie Lowell, Dan Haseltine and Matt Odmark....
You say you heard every word but I watched you turn away
Your eyes grew colder than winter
"Love is so intrusive " I thought I heard you say
And laugh so unconvincingly

Famous last words "I'm not ready yet"
"I won't be gone a minute"

Narrow is the road and too high a price to pay
When loneliness is such a sanctuary
Empty are the musings and wasted are the days
When you say you were only waiting

And famous last words, "I'm not ready yet"
"I won't be gone a minute" and I won't forget
Famous last words
If tomorrow never comes, will I ever know that I was in love?

I was in love
In love

You say you heard every word, I watched you turn away
You were only waiting

General Commentwhen we delay in other's requests, we miss a lot of time in between... it reminds me of the parable in the bible about the wedding guests...and how some didn't have enough oils and had to go and get more but missed the wedding... if we keep putting things off, even other's requests, we may miss everything.

    even another's love...

General CommentI love this song. The band has a question and answer section on their website that explains why they wrote their songs and verses to go w/ their songs. Famous Last Words was written as a look at how we procrastinate in our dealings w/ God and others, and how we can miss opportunities to show love for others. Of course, songs don't have to be interpreted the same for everyone. This song speaks to me in a different way. It could be interpreted about a lost person who wasn't ready to accept Christ. "Famous Last words, 'I'm not ready yet'" A person who wasn't ready, but then missed their opportunity. A little more depressing outlook, but it speaks to us bout the urgency we should have when witnessing to others. We don't know how much time we have left, do all that we can here and now.

General CommentIts about a Guy who wants to fall in love with a girl and us men are very visual so we know what we want but we arent always ready to commit to a relationship with the opposite sex, because of certain reasons that some people may not have guessed, such as insecurities, or self concience about your body, finacial situation, stanima and health physically or mentally/spiritualy. I can realate to the song because once a fear years ago, I asked out a girl I just recently met, and she said yes but, we would kinda play phonetag for 2 months but she expressed her attraction to me by calling me back, but then I started losing faith in myself and telling myself Im not good enough or handsome enough, my hairs cut is, ugly I have skin problems , she will dump me anyway, bla blah ect.., so I never got to talk to her again, because I ost faith, and now it still completly breaks my heart till this day that I couldnt follow through. Ive cried so much over this it would fill a beer can, i wish i was lying! The misery... Oh God help me! Have mercy.
