And I, ain't gonna let you do this to me again, baby....
Here's a token of my openness
Of my need to not disappear
How I'm feeling so revealing to me
I found my mind too clear
I just need someone to be there for.. me
I just want someone to be there for.. me

All the static in my attic a
Shoots down my side nerve
To the ocean of my platitudes
Longitudes latitudes it's so absurd
I just need someone to be there for..
I just want someone to be there for..
Someone to be there for..

Cause I'll stop trying to make a difference
I'm not trying to make a difference
I'll stop trying to make a difference

No way

Ooh, let's call in an angel

Cause I'll stop trying to make a difference
I'm not trying to make a difference
I'll stop trying to make a difference

No way

Cause I'll stop trying to make a difference
I'm not trying to make a difference
I'm not trying to make a difference
No way
No way, no way
Let's call in an angel
Who's calling an angel?

General CommentIf you look at it in paranid's point of view it all makes great sense. And I really think it's good that some famous people actually do charity without later on apear on Opera and talk about how great they are.

It really makes me sick watching those people milk it for ever when they never really had to do anything really hard to get where they are today.

General CommentFor me, the song's about that you stop looking for that perfect one (an angel), you want to feel satisfied with someone who cannot reach your preferences, you give up hope on this topic and close the chapter

General CommentI was talking to someone who thought this song had something to do with a charity thing or some sort of good deed that Eddie did. Then it got a lot of press, and it made him uncomfortable. He's saying he's not looking for the attention from a deed, and its absurd how it was blown out of proportion. I thought that was an interesting view of this song.

General Commentyellow_ledbetter, what the hell are you talking about? Many of the "icons"/"idols" of today did plenty to get where they are... and don't pretend you don't influence it. Take any music you listen to, or any movies you watch. It's in everything, and just because you don't watch or listen, or whtever, to something doesn't mean they didn't get there by doing anything easy. Don't be so simple minded.
