"Glorified G" as written by Stone C. Gossard, Jeffrey Allen Ament, Eddie Jerome Vedder, Mike Mccready and David Abbruzzese....
Got a gun fact I got two
That's O.K. man 'cause I love god
Glorified version of a pellet gun
Feels so manly when armed
Glorified version of a pellet gun

Double think dumb is strength
Never shot at a living thing
Glorified version of a pellet gun
Feels so manly when armed
Glorified version of a pellet gun
Glorified version of a

Always keep it loaded
Kindred to be an American
Life comes, I can feel your heart,
Ooh, life comes, I can feel your heart through your neck,
Life comes, I can feel your heart through your neck,
Life comes, I can steal your heart form your neck,

Glorified, glorified

General CommentI take this song to be about the ridiculous obsession with guns some people (especially cowboy-loving Americans) have, and how some people can glorify them like a god (G.)...

General Commentthis song was said to be about the ex drummer and when he bought a gun, there was a lot of conspiracy about dave leaving the band, but it think the main one was that he bought a gun to protect his family and eddie and the rest of the band were not happy bout it! (not suprizing!!)

General Commenthaha i love this song. i love the "thats OK man, cos i love god." some religious people think they can do anything and god is on their side. thats probly not what eddie was writing about, but thats what i get from it. the "always keep it loaded" chord progression is so out of left-field and brilliant - i heard that mike mcready forgot to change to it once playing live cos it comes out of nowhere.

General Commentif that was the case, i don't think dave would be cynical enough to drum for it... lol

General Commenti heard it was a case of the drummer went into a practice and said "Hey, i got a gun. In Fact, I got two". The rest said "guns, like kill people man" and in reply he said "it's ok man, cos i love god". a tribute to ed ved's genius that he came up with the start of a song from that :-) . True or not, it's a cool wee anecdote
