Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now
Come on

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

I come home in the morning light
My mother says, "When you gonna live your life right"
Oh, mommy dear, we're not the fortunate ones
And girls, they wanna have fun
Oh, girls they wanna have

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you
Girls just wanna have fun now
Come on

The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells, "whatchu gonna do with your life?"
Oh daddy dear, you know you're still number one
But girls they wanna have fun
Oh, girls they wanna have

That's all they really want, some fun
When the working day is done
You know girls they wanna have fun
Come on

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now
Come on

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now

And the boys they wanna have fun
And the girls they wanna have fun
And the boys they wanna have fun
And the girls they wanna have

Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I wanna be the one to walk in the sun

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now
Come on

Hey now, hey now (when the working day is done)
What's the matter with you? (You know girls)
Girls just wanna have fun now (they wanna have fun)
(Come on, come on)

And the boys they wanna have fun
And the girls they wanna have fun (what's the matter with you?)
And the boys they wanna have fun (girls just wanna have fun now)
And the girls they wanna have fun

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Come on (fun now)

And the boys they wanna have fun
And the girls they wanna have fun (wanna have fun now)
And the boys they wanna have fun (come on, come on)
And the girls they wanna have

Hey now, hey now (oh)
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now (come on)
Come on (come on)

Hey now, hey now (oh mommy dear we're )
What's the matter with you? (Not the fortunate ones))
Girls just wanna have fun now
You know girls they wanna have fun, come on

Hey now, hey now
What's the matter with you?
Girls just wanna have fun now

I think what she's saying is that girls want to do what THEY want to do, not what Mommy, Daddy, Husband, or Boyfriend have in mind for them. They want to be able to have the freedom to do what they want, whether it's go out or whatever.

once i googled my friends name and found a video of him drunkenly singing along and dancing in his underwear to this song. then i told him. then it disappeared. which was really sad because that was definitely one of the best moments of my life. he's a funny kid. he had a tendency to hang out in the dorm hallways in his boxerbriefs, anyway.

People need to get their minds outta the gutta -_- Anyway, cute song, it IS about being free. Mom and Dad tell ya to live responsibly like a good little girl, but ya gotta break loose sometimes! Love the music video, it's so funny at the end when all those people come in to her house and party.

i think its talking about womens freedom. because like women are portrayed as the stay-at-home-moms, and they're not suppose to go out and have a life. like for a girl to "come home in the morning light" was unusual and not right. so i think this song is what the title and 90% of the song says, girls just want to have fun...they want to go out have a fun night out and party

It's about the feminist revolution, and women embracing womanhood whole heartedly and with pride.

i love this song! its such a great party song! anyway, i reckon its about a girl who is sick and tired of all the old-fashioned "stay at home wife" views afound her, and she's trying to live a modern carefree life. at te beginning she "comes home in the morning light" after an all-night party and hetr mother thinks thats just NOT the done thing. "we're not the fortunate ones" could refer to them not being able to choose everything about their lives, like in the old days. they have to take into account the fact that girls DO wanna have fun, not just be housewifes. in the next verse when the phone rings in the middle of the night and her dad gets mad and she says "daddy dear your still number one" she probably means "you're still the main man in my life" (in a nice way) because he was always thyere for her, but he has to accept that girls just wanna have fun and party and live there own lives. the "some bys take a beautiful girl" verse is my favourite part of the song. she wants to be the one to kick start the modern idea of living your own life and just having fun! rathr than sticking to the old-fashioned way of being a good little housewife all the time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
