"Sunday Girl" as written by and Chris Stein....
I know a girl from a lonely street
Cold as ice cream but still as sweet
Dry your eyes Sunday girl
Hey, I saw your guy with a different girl
Looks like he's in another world
Run and hide Sunday girl

Hurry up, hurry up and wait
I stay away all week and still I wait
I got the blues, please come see
What your loving means to me

She can't catch up with the working crowd
The weekend mood and she's feeling proud
Live in dreams Sunday girl

Baby, I would like to go out tonight
If I go with you my folks'll get uptight
Stay at home Sunday girl

Hey, I saw your guy with a different girl
Looks like he's in another world
Run and hide Sunday girl

When I saw you again in the summertime
If your love was as sweet as mine
I could be Sunday's girl

Hurry up, hurry up and wait
I stay away all week and still I wait
I got the blues, please come see
What your loving means to me
Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up and wait
I got the blues, please, please, please come see
What you do to me
I got the blues

Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up and wait
Hurry up, please come see what you do to me

    General CommentFrench bit is:
I seen you guy with another girl,
    He seemed in another world,
    You (Go) Hide Sunday Girl,
When I saw you again (in the summer),
I decided if you love was as similar to mine,
    I (could remain) Sunday Girl,
Hurry up, hurry up and wait
All week and yet I wait,
I' feel gloomy, please come see me,
And see what you love represents to me,
Hurry up, hurry up and wait,
All week and yet I wait,
I' feel gloomy, Come to me and see,
What your love represents for me

General Commentthat french translation is way off...i dont have the time to translate it my self but i love when deb sings in french...although she butchers certain words like "dans" and "autre". I have an idea what this song is about...a wholesome young girl who is going out with a boy who uses her as just another girl to date since she isn't willing to go against her parents' wishes and see him on a daily basis, she's the sunday girl in this case.

General CommentIn a 1998 interview on 'Later with Jools Holland' Chris Stein & Debbie Harry explained that Sunday Girl was about Debbie's Cat called 'Sunday Man' and about the cat running away. You can find it on Youtube :)
