"The End Of The Line" as written by and Thomas A. Beaudry Gary Thompson....
When the siren's flash is gone
And we're left to carry on
All the memories are too few

When the pastor's music plays
And that casket rolls away
I could live again if you
Just stay alive for me

Please stay now, you left me here alone - it's the end of the line
Please stay I can't make it on my own - it's the end of the line
Make it on my own
It's the end of the line

Now that you are dead and gone
And I'm left to carry on
I could never smile cause you
Won't stay alive for me

Your final resting day
Is without me
I weep
And think of brighter days
What about me?

You can't take back, the one mistake
That still lives on after life it takes
In that one day, that changed our lives
And bitter memories are left behind

General CommentOne of my close friends killed himself two years ago, and listening to this song was a way I could get out my feelings, most of which I didn't understand. The Offspring has a talent for making their music sound great, so that's enough, but if you listen to the lyrics, most of them are really deep and have a personal meaning. This song still makes me cry, but it helped me deal, and I'm glad Dexter is putting out such great poetry.

General Commentgreat song. i agree with silenceoftheworld most of the offsprings songs have deeper meanings like change the world, no hero, gone away, and denial revisited. ALL GREAT SONGS. OFFSPRING IS MY FAVORITE BAND , ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE!!! KEEP KICKIN' ASS OFFSPRING!!!

General CommentThis song is awesome, but (looks like there is a typo in the lyrics) my version of this song starts with:
When the siren's flash is gone
And we're left to carry on
All the memories are to few..........

General CommentYea mine too acid rain drops...
Anyway an excellent song helped me cope with the death a my friends dad,and my own problems as well. I would leave my friends to deal with such a horrid problem that would scar them for life.
Now that you are dead and gone and i'm lest to carry on all the momories are to few.
    Whoa to emotional sorry guys!
